My Talking Tom Friends expands Bus Trip into a free exploration world with School, Mall, and Hospital update

Outfit7 has brought in a big update for My Talking Tom Friends, which changes how the Bus Trip feature works. This smaller session-based activity inside the game has now been turned into a more open exploration system, and while the extra freedom we get is the exciting element, well, there’s more to the surprise.

While my title has spoiled your surprise a little, yes, with this update, three new places have been added: School, Mall, and Hospital. I know you must wonder what we are getting with these new places. Let me explain everything you need to know.

The bus is still parked outside the house like before, but now it acts more like a gateway to different areas instead of a short event. With the three-place additions, the idea here is to make the world feel more connected, where you can keep moving between locations and continue creating your own stories without interruptions.

So let us talk about the multi-room destinations. At first, we have the Hospital. With you donning the white coat, it lets you use medical tools, run X-ray scans, manage beds, and take care of the characters using different equipment.

Meanwhile, the School is easy to understand what’ll be there. Yes, we will have the trip down the memory lane, where you bring classrooms, science experiments, biology labs, locker hallways, and outdoor activity areas that lean into a more nostalgic school setup. Of course, this time, the studying part is fun. 

After you’ve worked at the Hospital and studied hard at school, you definitely need a spot to hang out, right? That’s where the Mall helps you. Designed as a social and entertainment space, here we can explore dressing rooms, shop areas, grocery sections, and entertainment zones. 

Outfit7 says this update shifts the gameplay away from isolated activities and more toward continuous exploration and experimentation, with a focus on creativity and player-driven play. We are encouraged to test interactions, explore different rooms, and shape our own stories using the expanded environments.

This arrives as My Talking Tom Friends crosses 1.9 billion downloads worldwide, making it one of Outfit7’s biggest titles. The new update is now available, and the game can be downloaded on Android and iOS.
