Hyper Front Elite Cup SEA Region Finals: Format, Teams, Schedule, and more

The first Hyper Front Elite Cup has everything to play for, with teams competing for prize pools worth more than $100,000!

NetEase Games, NetEase, Inc.’s online games division, has announced that the finals for the SEA Division in the first ever Elite Cup eSports tournament for Hyper Front will take place from August 27 to August 28, 2022. The players from Indonesia, the Philippines, and Malaysia competing for the spoils of a combined $50,000 prize pool and the title of first-ever champions in their respective regions. Players can watch the finals live at the Jakarta mall Taman Anggrek. They can also watch online on YouTube and Facebook for the August 27th here and 28th Livestreams here.

Hyper Front Elite Cup SEA Region: Format

The Hyper Front Elite Cup tournament kicked off on July 30th, with an Americas Division and a SEA Division, each with a $50,000 prize pool. This is Hyper Front’s first professional invitational eSports tournament. The assembled teams have already been competing in the early stages of the tournament.

The SEA Division begins with a Group stage in which teams are randomly assigned to one of four groups. The top two teams from each group advance to the Knockout stage, which leads to a single-elimination tournament. In the Hyper Front Elite Cup tournament, a team must win 8 rounds to earn a point. A 7:7 round draw will result in overtime, where a team must win by a 2-point margin.

The Southeast Asian Division of the Elite Cup features professional teams from Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand, and Malaysia. Dunia Games, Demigods Esports, UTG International, The Infinity, Geek Fam, Smart Omega, RSG PH, Bren Esports, VOIN SBO, TEM Entertainment, KHI Esports, and HomeBois are among the team members.

Hyper Front Elite Cup SEA Region: Schedule

Furious Gaming defeated 9Z in an intense match to become the inaugural Hyper Front Elite Cup America Region Champions in the final round of the Americas division. The SEA division finals will be held offline on August 27 and 28 at 2:00 pm (UTC+7) in Jakarta mall Taman Anggrek.

These offline matches will be divided into two stages: semi-finals and finals. UTG International, Geek Fam, Demigods Esports, and Smart Omega are the four teams competing in the final round of the SEA Division.

Along with the Hyper Front Elite Cup’s final SEA Division matches, the venue will host a variety of activities for players to participate in. The activities will include cosplay performances and opportunities for new players to try out the game. Players can watch the finals live at the Jakarta mall Taman Anggrek or online on YouTube for the August 27th Livestream and the August 28th livestream.
