Mobile Legends: Bang Bang is set to kick off an exciting new chapter in competitive gaming with the introduction of a new tournament mode, MLBB Rising Open, launching this December 2024. The new tournament mode promises a more engaging gaming experience for players, as it will replace the MCL in-game. Set to officially launch on December 16th, 2024, MLBB Rising Open Breakout matches will begin on December 20th, 2024. MLBB Rising Open aims to provide aspiring players and semi-professional teams with a platform to showcase their skills on a larger stage and experience the thrill of eSports.. MLBB Rising Open: Tournament Features and How to Participate
MLBB Rising Open is developed to allow all MLBB players to have a thrilling first-hand experience of competitive Esports and tournaments. Partake in it to level up your Esports player rank, earn honorary Titles, and win exciting new rewards. The MLBB Rising Open is, however, divided into 3 main stages:
- Breakout stage
- Championship Stage
- Championship Finals
Breakout Stage
To participate in the Breakout stage, you will complete match tasks to obtain Rising Open Challenge tickets. These tickers can be used to participate in the Breakout stage matches. Breakout Stage matches are only available on Weekends and you would need to pre-register with a team. Do note that this pre-made team must consist of serious players as their availability is strictly required during the later course of the league matches.
On achieving three victories within your limited weekly challenge attempts, you will become the Weekly Champion, and will receive Champion titles amongst other exciting tier rewards. If you run out of participation tickets without becoming the Champion, you shall retain your Bracket progress and will only have to continue the following week. The Stages in the Breakout stage are as follows:
Neighbourhood Bracket > City Bracket > Provincial Bracket > Regional Qualifier Round 1 > Regional Qualifier Round 2 > Country Division Championship
After becoming Weekly Champion for 4 weeks, you’ll advance to the Division Qualifiers, which is much more challenging as Rising Open Challenge tickets will be even rare to get. Each weekly Breakout stage consists of an 8-team Elimination bracket where the final team would be the crowned Champion. Players who become champions in the final round of Division Qualifiers will qualify for the Championship and will receive Seasonal access to the MLBB Rising Open Exclusive skin.
Championship Stage
To qualify for this stage, you have to win the final round of Division qualifiers to qualify for the Division Championship. However, unlike the Breakout Stage, teams must register as 5-player Esports teams for the Division Championship. Here, your team will compete in multiple rounds of Best-of-one (BO1) matches, with each victory raising your rank and instantaneously eliminating your opponents. The top 100 teams in each Division will receive exclusive Division Ranking titles. In this stage, you could also spectate and watch Championship matches in real time via the Live Stream Interface.
Championship Finals
This stage consists of the top 100 teams in each division, here they will compete for the Country Champion title. Here, the final 8 teams will compete in Best-of-three (BO3) matches for their country’s Championship title. On becoming the final Champion, a reward of up to 50,000 diamonds awaits the winning team.
