The PUBG Mobile Esports scene is roaring again as the 2021 Peace Elite Asia Invitational (PEI) is all set to kick from April 27 with a salivating prize pool of around $456,000 or 3,000,000 Chinese Yen. The tournament will consist of 15 of the best teams from across the continent ready to fight in the rebranded Chinese version of the game Peacekeeper Elite, also known as Game for Peace in China. Tournament schedule and format
15 matches are expected to be played over the course of three days from April 27 to April 29. There will be 5 matches per day. The matches are locked to the first-person perspective only, ensuring a level playing field. In addition to the final standings, points are also awarded based on kills. During the early stages of the match I.e. during the first and second safe zones, a kill is worth two points while any kills taken from the third zone and later will count for only one point. This is expected to discourage camping and āwaiting it outā for other players to fight among themselves.

Peace Elite Asia Invitational 2021 prize pool
In addition, prizes are also offered for the team that achieves the highest kills for every single match. On day 1, the team with the highest number of kills will receive roughly around $6000 or 40,000 CNY for that particular match. On day 2, the reward is increased to around $9000 or 60000 CNY, and on day 3 the reward is around $15000 or 100,000 CNY. In the event of a tiebreaker, the criteria used to determine the winner is,
- The team with the higher points totals for that particular match
- The team with players in higher positions for that particular match
The MVP of the tournament is awarded an individual cash award of around $15000 or 100,000 CNY.
How to watch PEI 2021
All the matches will be broadcasted live on Huya and Douyu. The matches will start streaming from 5 AM Chinese Time. Just tune in if you want to watch some action.
