Japan’s highest official PUBG Mobile league, PUBG Mobile Japan League (PMJL) Season 2 has been announced by X-MOMENT to be held in the first quarter of 2022. With season 2 broken up into 2 phases, a whopping $2.6 million prize pool is up for grabs in this season. However, unlike the other leagues, PMJL is continuing with the age-old format for its Season 2 in 2022.
PUBG Mobile Japan League (PMJL) Season 2 2022: Schedule and Format
The first phase of the PUBG Mobile Japan League season 2 2022 will kick off on March 26th and will end on April 24th, 2022. In this first phase, 16 teams will be locking horns for a share of the prize pool and a slot at a forthcoming global event. Although not officially announced, the global event for which teams would be fighting is mostly expected to be a Mid-Season Championship which is expected to be held in June 2022.
During each phase, five matches will be played each day over a period of 10 days. With Phase 1 concluding in April, Phase 2 will begin in September 2022, where the winner will get a ticket to the next PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) in 2022
But speaking of the format, unlike the PUBG Mobile Pro Leagues, where they have changed their formats with no relegations in their yearly format. the PUBG Mobile Japan League is continuing with its old format of team relegations & team promotions for its Season 2. All the matches will be played in the TPP mode with a total of 16 teams, which includes the Top 14 teams from Japan League Season 1 and Top 2 teams from Challenge League.
