Saigon Phantom successfully took their revenge against Bacon Time by beating the former champion in the Grand Final of Arena of Valor Premier League 2023 with a scoreline of 4-1. In the last edition, Bacon Time beat the new champions with the same scoreline.
Saigon Phantom will be taking USD $200,000 home as the champions of the tournament. Whereas, Bacon Time will get USD $100,000 as the first runners-up of the tournament. This year too, Bikertopia Esports came in third place in the tournament, taking USD $70,000 home.
Arena of Valor Premier League 2023: Saigon Phantom’s road to victory
The tournament featured the top fourteen teams from Thailand and Vietnam which includes three teams each from AOG Spring, GCS Spring, RPL Summer, and Wild Card. The rest of the two teams qualified from ASL Spring. The fourteen teams faced each other in the group stage, among them, the top four teams from each group proceeded to the playoffs.
Coming from Group A, Saigon Phantom could not show a satisfactory performance in the Group Stage. They qualified for the playoffs as the third team from Group A. However, former champions Bacon Time showed another extraordinary group stage run this year as they ended their Group Stage with an undefeated status.
However, in the playoffs, Saigon Phantom showed a brilliant comeback as they won every match in this stage till they reached the final. Saigon Phantoms defeated Valencia CF in the UB Quarter Finals and V Gaming in the UB Semi-Finals. The team beat Bikertopia Esports in the UB Finals, sending Bikertopia to the Lower Brackets.
On the other side, Bacon Time got defeated by Bikertopia Esports in the UB Semi-Finals with a scoreline of 4-1. Coming into the Lower Bracket, the team again showed dominance till they again faced Bikertopia Esports in the Lower Brackets Final. In this match, Bacon Time dominated Bikertopia Esports with an amazing scoreline of 4-0 and qualified for the Grand Finals. Finally, in the Grand Finals, Saigon Phantom dominated Bacon Time and won the tournament.

A lot of new teams have emerged through this year’s Arena of Valor Premier League. But unfortunately, we could not see satisfactory performances from the new teams in this edition as well.
