eFootball 2026 continues its 9th Anniversary celebrations with a dedicated Epic Didier Drogba pack, giving us one of the best chances yet to land the legendary striker. Unlike the usual larger draws, this comes as a 50-player box, and KONAMI is also handing out up to 18 free tries through the anniversary campaign.
That alone already makes this pack stand out. Even if luck doesn’t go your way with the free attempts, you still have the option to continue using Coins afterward, so there’s a realistic path to eventually getting Drogba if you really want him.
Still, the important question is whether this Epic version actually delivers in the current gameplay meta. So let’s break down how good Didier Drogba really is, the best way to train him, which skills suit him most, and whether he’s worth going all-in for.
eFootball 2026 Epic Didier Drogba review
Didier Drogba
- Position: CF
- Playing Style: Fox in the Box
- Show Time Skill: Bullet Header
This is a very typical Drogba-type card. Big physical striker, dominant in the air, strong finishing, and built to bully defenders. Even compared to older versions, the identity hasn’t really changed much here.
The interesting part is that this Show Time version only comes with one special skill, Bullet Header, while the most recent 50-player packs have been giving two. But since this is part of a pack where players get free chances, it makes sense why KONAMI probably toned things down slightly.
Aerially, though, this card should still be a menace. Bullet Header, combined with his physicality and jumping, already tells you what the plan is. If you cross consistently, Drogba will absolutely be dangerous.

Physically, he’s exactly what you expect too. He’ll hold defenders off easily, shield the ball well, and generally feel very strong centrally. The main drawback is definitely the speed. No matter how much you try with builds, getting both speed and acceleration comfortably over that 90 mark is not really happening here.
So you can’t expect him to play like the faster meta strikers. Also with that, the Fox in the Box playstyle also won’t suit everyone. He won’t constantly spam aggressive runs like a Goal Poacher, so you need to use him properly, especially with crosses and link-up play.
On the ball, he’s usable, that’s a way to put it. Dribbling and tight possession are the areas where you’ll feel the heaviness. I actually think he can work nicely as a Super Sub too. Against tired defenders, the physicality becomes even more annoying to deal with.
I left the fifth skill slot open depending on preference. Through Passing is a really good option if you want him more involved in link-up play because of the Fox in the Box movement or the Super Sub option. Your pick.
Suggested Skills: Double Touch, One Touch Pass, Outside Curler, Long Range Shooting, Super Sub/Through Passing
Suggested Booster(s): Striker’s Instinct
