Cambodia’s professional Mobile Legends league for 2023, the MPL-KH Autumn 2023, is over with See You Soon being crowned as the champion. In the grand final of the event, the team picked up a win against the runner-up CFU Gaming by a scoreline of 4-3. Winning the event has placed the champion team directly into the upcoming grand event of MLBB esports, the M5 World Championship 2023.
See You Soon was the winner of the first season of MPL in Cambodia. After three long years, the team regained their title. With a total of 8 teams, the event started on the 12th of August 2023. It featured a whopping $40,000 as the prize money. The offline event took place at Aeon Mall Sen Sok City in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
The champion team’s run on the Mobile Legends MPL-KH Autumn 2023
Among the eight participants, the top 6 made it to the playoff stage. See You Soon debuted the playoff by facing PRO Esports. The match was taken away by the champion and the next round was waiting. BURN x FLASH welcomed the champion but received a defeat instead. Then, See You Soon went to the upper-bracket final to play against CFU Gaming and went on to win the match by a scoreline of 3-2, making them one of the finalists.
On the other hand, CFU and Flash met in the lower-bracket final where CFU picked up a sweep win of 3-1. The team, then, headed to the grand final to meet See You Soon again. The final match could be a perfect stage for the team to take revenge. The match was so intending that it became unpredictable to decide any result. After the end of the round six, the scoreline was 3-3. However, the champion team took the last and final round of the game and became the champion of the MPL-KH Autumn 2023.
See You Soon took majority of the Prize Pool home
The event featured a massive prize pool of $40,000 to share among the teams based on their ranking after the end of the tournament. Being crowned the champion, the team took the largest share of the prize money which was $16,000. The runner-up CFU Gaming bagged $8,000 while the third-placed team BURN x FLASH pocketed $5,000.
The MPL-KH Autumn 2023 champion will represent their country in the grand stage of MLBB esports that is coming ahead. Thus, the responsibility falls upon the team to perform well, and so will the fans who want to watch.
