On Saturday, December 11, KLab Inc., a leader in online mobile games, revealed that the international Dream Championship 2021 competition Finals were conducted in its head-to-head football simulation game Captain Tsubasa: Dream Team. Out of the 16 contenders, Shoryu, a Taiwanese player, won the event and was named the greatest player in the world in 2021!

The 16 winners of the final regional qualifiers competed in the final competition. For the championship, players from Italy, Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Argentina, the United States, Iran, Kuwait, and Algeria competed online. This year’s event got off to an unexpected start when IE | Daigo, the winner of the Dream Championship 2020, lost the opening match.
The Dream Championship finals came to a conclusion with one of the highest-level matchups in the tournament’s history, including CR7, the first-place American block regional qualification winner, and Shoryu, the first-place East Asia block winner and new champion.
Additionally, YouTubers were invited onboard this year as a fresh feature to webcast the finals alongside the official live feeds. YouTubers from all over the world streamed the Dream Championship 2021 finals in their native languages at the same time. The Dream Championship 2022 will feature a brand new participation system
A new Dream Championship 2022 participation mechanism was launched along with the early announcement of next year’s competition. At the conclusion of the competition, Director Kimoto made an appearance to announce some exciting news for Dream Championship.
The Dream Championship 2022 was announced alongside a completely new rating system that would go into effect in February 2022. This method will employ calculations based on monthly rank matches, cup matches, and league performances to determine who will be able to compete in the Dream Championship in 2022.
