The Summoners War World Arena Championship (SWC) 2024, a competitive esports tournament hosted by Com2uS, the developers of the world-renowned fantasy RPG title Summoners War, is now kicking off a new season of entertainment. With the World Final set to be a grand event in Tokyo, let me take you through the details of Format, Schedule, Prize Pool, and more.
Summoners War World Arena Championship (SWC) 2024: Format and Schedule
The format of the SWC2024 tournament is somewhat similar to the previous editions. It begins with preliminary rounds, where players are selected based on their records from World Arena Season 28 and Season 29.
In the Americas and Europe regions, 16 players will compete in a double elimination format over three days, with 8 players advancing to the regional cup. With the same format, the Asia-Pacific region will have four groups, each with 8 players competing over two days, and the top 2 players from each group advance to the Regional Cup. The Regional Cup will then feature 8 players competing in single-elimination matches.
For locations, the Europe Cup will take place in Berlin, the America’s Cup in Las Vegas, and the Asia-Pacific Cup in Ho Chi Minh City. Additionally, the winner and runner-up of the China Qualification Match will secure tickets to the World Finals. Players from Japan will have a separate Open Qualifier before the preliminaries, with the winner also advancing to the World Finals.
So after all these events, the World Finals will feature 12 players: 3 from each regional cup, 2 from the China Qualification Match, and 1 from the Japan Open Qualifier, and will be held offline in Tokyo. Details of the dates are yet to be out, so I will be updating it once the details are out.
Summoners War World Arena Championship (SWC) 2024: Prize Pool
The total prize pool for the SWC2024 tournament is $214,000, which includes rewards for the World Finals. The prize distribution for various stages of the tournament is detailed in the table below:

In addition to the cash prizes, the SWC2024 World Champion will receive the new SWC2024 trophy and a medal, while the 2nd and 3rd place finalists will receive medals. All 12 world finalists will also be awarded in-game rewards.
Regional cup and China Qualification Match winners and runners-up will receive medals, with the 3rd place in the China Qualification Match also receiving a medal.
