The Copa R10 Free Fire Cup 2021 has concluded today with Team Liquid taking home the grand prize of the Free Fire tournament. The tournament, which had Brazilian football legend, Ronaldinho, as their ambassador, ended with a grand spectacle. In this piece, we will unravel how the results panned out in the tournament.

Copa R10 Free Fire Cup 2021: Background

The R10 Free Fire Cup had Brazilian football legend Ronaldinho in partnership with streaming platform Booyah! The tournament was also promoted by Tropa do Bruxo. It was an Esports tournament open to all players and was started as an attempt to promote engagement between players, audiences as well as Free Fire developers.

Ronaldinho was highly supportive of the tournament, saying it was pivotal to tap into the hidden talents of the gaming community so that they can be nurtured from a young age. He has also heaped praise on the fact that Free Fire was an easy game for young kids to get into, especially as it doesn’t require any high-tech equipment.

Results

Team Liquid has been crowned the champions of the Copa R10 Free Fire tournament taking home the grand cash prize of around 30.00,00 Brazilian Real.  The grand finale also had appearances from a number of influencers from the Free Fire industry including Nobru, Delo, and Cerol.

Team Liquid is a Netherlands-based Esports organization. They had entered the Free Fire scene in January of 2020 and are no strangers to taking home the coveted grand prize. The Esports team has also garnered a reputation for being title winners in the past, although they have struggled in more recent tourneys, slipping to the second division of the LBFF. The team’s previous victory had come at the Free Fire Continental Series in 2020, where they took home a cash prize of around 80,000 dollars. This victory, however, should provide a much-needed morale boost and should bode well for their aspirations in future Esports tourneys.
