A tournament full of unpredictability, and the top-notch show of excellence by the teams comes to an end as the Wild Rift Origin Series Championship 2021 has concluded with Team Queso crowned as the champion of the event after they won the finals by a 4-1 margin against Rix.GG.
Moreover, being the champion, Team Queso has now qualified for the upcoming Wild Rift Horizon Cup 2021 along with winning a huge €84,000 (approximately $98,600) prize money for winning this tournament. The runner-up team Rix.GG also got a decent amount as much as €32,000 (approximately $37,600) prize money for finishing second.
Wild Rift Origin Series Championship 2021: How it went
Being the third-placed team in the league stage, Team Queso advanced to the finals of the Wild Rift Origin Series Championship 2021. As per the tournament’s rule, the top-placed team gets to choose its opponent from the 3rd or 4th place in the Semifinals. So, league stage toppers Game-Lord chose Team Queso as their opponents.
Team Queso, proving the selection wrong for their opponents, won the cut to throat match by making a 3-2 win in the final round. On the other hand, Rix.GG beat the second-placed team of the league stage, Unicorns of Love, by a solid margin of 3-0 in the other semis.
Both teams then stepped into the Grand Finals. Showing a confident play, Team Queso won the first two rounds while Rix.GG took the win in the third game. But again, Team Queso crushed their opponent’s hope by winning the next match to make the final scoreline stand at 4-1.

Origin Series Championship 2021 is the first official Wild Rift tournament circuit by Riot Games for Europe, Middle East & North Africa, CIS, and Turkey. From the very beginning of the event, fans have witnessed unexpected moments, and no one thought this event to be this amazing. Stockholm was ready to host six teams dividing into two groups. Unfortunately, CUT Esports was unable to attend the event due to visa issues and the format was wrapped into a single group play in the end.
