Team TTV hailing from the United States of America was one of the forerunners coming into the Pokemon UNITE Championship Series 2023 – North America Championship and was lauded as among the favorites to take home the title. They eventually did live up to their expectations as they are now the champions of the Pokemon UNITE Championship Series 2023 – North America Championship and will be now heading into the Pokémon UNITE World Championship 2023.
Pokemon UNITE Championship Series 2023-North America Championship: Overview
TTV’s winning streak in the NAC championship bracket was hardly a cakewalk, as can be seen from the general roadmap of the campaign. TTV advanced to the next round when they were defeated by Luminosity and dropped to the loser’s semifinals after a grueling victory over Ginyu Force in the semifinal.
On the basis of CP, or championship points, TTV was matched up there against the formidable Amaterasu, the strongest Pokemon Unite team in the region. After beating Amaterasu, TTV once again came up against its nemesis Luminosity in the first round of the Grand Final.
TTV were all set for payback as they swept Luminosity and won all 3 bouts in the first round. Going into the second round of the Grand Finals, TTV was confident in maintaining their winning streak and they did so by snatching victory from Luminisoty in a match that ended 2-1 in the favor of TTV.
TTV secures a spot at the Pokémon UNITE World Championship
The Pokemon UNITE Championship Series 2023-North America Championship featured a total prizepool of $50000. As the winners, TTV took home the largest share of $20000 with the others following them with the amount gradually decreasing down the order of the ranking table.
Although the championship for the North American region has concluded, the esports season is still not over as the World Championship still remains. The top 4 teams from North America based on their CP will progress to the World Championship and fight against the best teams from all over the world to determine the world champion.
