PUBG Mobile Club Open (PMCO) 2020 Fall Split was announced by Mr. James Yang, Global eSports Director, PUBG Mobile on June 14, 2020. The group stage for PMCO Fall Split 2020 Wildcard region held between September 1 to 6, 2020. It had a total of 32 teams out of which 24 teams advanced to the semi-finals and the bottom 8 teams were eliminated. The semi-finals held between September 7 to 13, 2020 with 24 participating teams and out of which the top 15 teams advanced to the Grand Finals while the bottom 9 teams were eliminated. The Wildcard finals happened on September 14 and 15, 2020 with 16 teams that included the winner of PMCO 2020 Spring Finals as a direct invite. Z3US ESPORTS became the PMCO Fall Split 2020 Wildcard regional Champion with 3 Chicken Dinners and 76 Kills.
PUBG Mobile Club Open 2020 showcases the professional and semi-professional PUBG Mobile players among the 16 regions across the world. The PMCO 2020 Fall Split registration started from July 12, 2020, for a prize pool of a massive $1 million.
What is the Wildcard region?
The Wildcard region represents the Rest of World region and it includes teams from the Rest of Asia, Africa, Australia, Taiwan/Hong Kong/Macau. It also includes all the Sub-Regions that don’t fall under any of the other 16 regions.
What does this mean for Z3US ESPORTS?
With this win, Z3US ESPORTS directly qualified for PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) Season Zero. The event will be starting from late November 2020 with a grand prize pool of $2M USD. It will have pro teams from all regions including the Americas, Europe, South Asia, Southeast Asia, Middle East, China, to compete for a prize pool of $2 million.
