Baseball Hits 26 is now live on Android and iOS, offering a quick tap-based baseball experience focused purely on batting. With officially licensed MLB Players, Inc. stars, the game keeps things simple, making it easy for anyone to jump in and start playing. Still, there are a few pointers that I would like to share in this Baseball Hits 26 Beginners Guide, alongside the tips for a new player to quickly understand the basics.
Baseball Hits 26 Gameplay Overview
The core gameplay is as straightforward as it gets. You only control batting, and all you need to do is tap at the right time to hit the ball. There’s no complex movement or controls, or you have to do the manual settings, so pretty easy to get your hand in.

However, there are other modes on offer that you will unlock once you progress/level up. Matches can either be played manually or progressed using simulation, which can also be activated once you begin a game automatically by the game AI.
This is to speed things up if you don’t want to play every moment. However, you can’t activate this during Playoff games. While the game is simple on the surface, timing your hits properly and making smart in-game decisions from the choices offered still play a big role in winning matches.
Game Modes and Team Progression
At the beginning, you’ll mainly be playing the Baseball Hits mode. Other modes are locked behind progression. Pitching Ace unlocks at Level 3, Total Baseball at Level 4, and HR King at Level 5. Since these modes are not available immediately, the game gradually opens up more variety as you level up.
While batting is the main mechanic, the real progression comes from improving your team. You start with a low-rated lineup, and upgrading players quickly becomes essential to stay competitive. Each player comes with a potential, and you check them by clicking on the player.

Players can be leveled up using XP, and after multiple upgrades, they move into higher tiers that provide a noticeable boost in ratings. Managing your roster is just as important, as you can swap players in and out, trade inactive players for XP, and adjust your lineup as well.
Baseball Hits 26 uses three main currencies: Gold, Hit Bucks, and XP. Gold is your premium currency, from which you can get the promo packs, bundles, and even sign top players. Hit Bucks can do the same, but a tier below, while it is also used to level up players alongside XP.
Baseball Hits 26 Beginners Guide: Tips and Tricks to Remember
Here are some simple tips you can follow during your beginner phase of the game.
1. Avoid bunting
Straight up, my first tip. Bunting might seem like a safe option, but it rarely gives good results and often wastes a scoring opportunity, especially when your bases are filled. It’s better to focus on hits. If you are doing it, make sure there aren’t any outs or just one.
2. Upgrade your players consistently
Progress in this game heavily depends on your team’s strength. Regularly using XP to level up your best players will make matches noticeably easier. You can see the matchups and win chances before you start your game, so based on that, you’ll know when to improve.
3. Steal only when the chances are high
Stealing bases can be useful, but only when the success rate is high. Attempting steals at low percentages often leads to easy outs, especially if you get a strike. I would suggest 75% is a good rate. The same goes for stealing bases after hits.

Another thing to notice here is the running stat and where the runner is. From my observations, the percentile usually depends on the running numbers, but if the opponent is better, it’ll still show a high risk, low reward.
4. Daily Goals for more freebies
The daily goals section is pretty amazing when it comes to rewards. You can easily have so many rewards on offer just by focusing on them. Simple tasks, especially opening store packs, which you will also get for free daily is a great way of improving your team and resources.
5. Swapping pitchers and getting pinch hits
Something I have found success in is swapping pitchers, especially when in the early game, you don’t have to pitch, and AI does the job for you. So when the pitcher is tired, quickly swap him in; else he’ll leak some extra runs.

Same with the pinch hits. See if the replacement comes with better average and power. If yes, swapping is a no-brainer.
