Invincibles Studio Ltd, known for the long-running Soccer Manager series, has released a new football management game called FC Manager 26 on Android. At first glance, it may look similar to Soccer Manager, but this version is for the competitive management fans.
The core idea remains the same: you manage a football club instead of controlling players directly on the pitch. You create your own club, sign players, build tactics, upgrade facilities, and try to climb through the league system.
For new players, understanding how the game works can take a little time. So in this FC Manager 26 Beginners Guide, I’ll explain the basics and share a few simple tips to help you get started. Check out the redeem codes guide for early freebies.
FC Manager 26 Gameplay Overview
FC Manager 26 is not a typical football game where you control players and score goals yourself. Instead, you act as the manager of the club. Your job is to build a strong squad, create tactics, and make smart decisions during matches.
So starting things off, one of the first things you will do in FC Manager 26 is create your own football club. You can choose your club name, Team badge, and also Club colors. After creating the club, you will start building your squad and preparing your team for league matches.

As for the gameplay side of things, the players will follow your instructions on the pitch while you watch the match in real time. I didn’t see any option to skip any game; it is because they are against another player, so matches are shown with live action moments.
However, you can pause the game to adjust tactics, change formations, or make substitutions if things are not going your way. Stats aren’t updated till the first half, so getting hold of them will come in handy in the second half of your game.
Gameplay Basics: Your Club and Resources
The Home screen is where you will manage most of your club activities. From here, you can access different menus like tactics, transfers, training, scouting, and finances.
Here are some basic terminologies and menus you need to keep track of.
- Squad: This is where you manage your players. You can view their ratings, positions, and potential. It also allows you to adjust contracts or check player information.
- Tactics: The tactics menu allows you to set formations and instructions. You can drag players into positions and experiment with different strategies depending on your squad.
- Transfers: This is where you sign new players or sell existing ones. You can search for players, place bids, or participate in auctions to strengthen your team.
- Facilities: Facilities are important for improving your club. Upgrading them can increase revenue, improve scouting, and help with player development.
- Training: Training helps your players grow and improve their ratings. Upgrading training facilities also unlocks additional training slots.
- Scouting: Scouting helps you find new players around the world. Better scouting upgrades allow you to discover stronger players and receive reports faster.
- Finances: The finances menu shows your club’s income and expenses.

At the top of the screen, you will also see the main resources of the game.
- Cash: Cash is your club’s main currency. You will use it for signing players, paying wages, upgrading facilities, and managing other club expenses
- Gold: Gold is the premium currency in the game. It can be used to buy cash or unlock certain features faster. You can also use gold to sign premium players in the market.
- Boosts: Boosts help improve your players’ performance during matches. You can click on a player and boost any of the following: Condition, Morale, Suspension, and Injured. They come in two variants: Minor and Major, indicated by Blue and Pink, respectively.
FC Manager 26 Beginners Guide: Tips and Tricks to Remember
1. Build your squad carefully instead of rushing transfers
One of the first things I noticed while playing FC Manager 26 is that you don’t actually need to rush into the transfer market immediately. The starting squad you receive is decent enough to play a few matches and understand how your team performs, because everyone almost has the same squad. Especially avoid using Gold to sign the bigger names; that’s a very premium currency.
2. Keep an eye on player fitness
Another thing that becomes important very quickly is player fitness and squad rotation. Since matches happen frequently and you cannot skip them, the condition of your players will drop over time. If you keep using the same starting eleven every match, their performance will slowly decline. Use the boosts here as soon as they drop in around 60%, and rotate your players.
3. Use scouting to find players with high potential

Instead of only focusing on current ratings, scouting can help you discover players with strong potential. You can filter the ratings as well here, so once you upgrade the scouting, you will be getting top players here.
4. Keep track of objectives for faster progress
Another thing I strongly recommend paying attention to is the objectives system in the game. The game has daily tasks, one-time goals, and seasonal challenges. The daily objectives are especially important. So whenever you log in, check your objectives and try to finish them before ending your session.
5. Choose your facility upgrades wisely
One thing you will quickly notice in FC Manager 26 is that facility upgrades take around 24 hours to complete, and you can only upgrade one facility at a time. Because of this, it’s important to plan which upgrades you want to prioritize.

From my experience, scouting should usually be your first priority. Having better scouting allows you to discover more players and receive better reports. Since the game has tournaments, strong teams get you wins quickly and earn resources. Once scouting is in a good spot, you can then look at upgrading other facilities, like training or financial zones.
