Clash of Clans has introduced an exciting event called the Clash x Chess Challenge, as part of Supercell‘s Chess Clash collaboration with chess.com. This brings players a fantastic opportunity to enjoy a blend of Clash of Clans and chess while earning some Gold and Elixir and filling their banks. Let’s take a closer look at how you can conquer the chess challenge to earn Gold and Elixir in Clash of Clans.
Introducing the Clash of Clans Chess Challenge
In this special event, Clash of Clans players can engage in chess-related challenges, allowing them to test their strategic skills not only in regular game battles but also in chess-inspired challenges. It’s like combining the excitement of Clash of Clans with the strategy of chess. There are three challenges to clear, and by doing them players can earn rewards.
The campaign is now live and will carry over till the 28th of September 2023. To participate in the challenge, simply follow the link given here, and then head to start playing the Chess Challenge. We suggest players play the challenge on their mobile devices so that they can claim the rewards on their Clash of Clans mobile app easily.
Note: Sometimes, these challenges won’t be the same for every player. There will be an option presented for the players to change the challenges, and hence the workaround we provided might not work for it.
How to beat the Clash of Clans Chess Challenge
Challenge 1: Checkmate in one move
Rewards: 250K Gold and Elixir
The initial challenge is to achieve checkmate in a single move. In this scenario, your Queen is positioned at square D1, and you’ve observed that your opponent’s King is located at square E8. To complete the challenge, you should move your Queen to square H5. This strategic move results in a checkmate, as the opponent’s King has no legal moves to escape or defend himself.
Challenge 2: Capture the Queen
Rewards: 500K Gold and Elixir
The next challenge is to capture the queen in two moves. While you can capture the opponent’s Queen in the first move, that alone won’t fulfill the challenge requirements. The first step is to move your Rook from D3 to the final square at the top of the board.
This Rook can be captured by the opponent’s other Rook. After your Rook reaches the top square, move your Queen from C2 to C4. This move completes the challenge, as it takes out the opponent queen.
Challenge 3: Win the game in two moves
Rewards: 1M Gold and Elixir
The final challenge is to win the game in just two moves. To accomplish this, begin by moving your Knight from C3 to D5. This move involves sacrificing the Knight, positioning it aggressively. After the Knight moves to D5, move your Rook to the third row. This move puts your opponent’s King in checkmate, as there are no available legal moves for the King to escape the threat.
