eFootball 2025 brings a solid Legends Assemble Special Selection Contract pack, and if you haven’t already, there is a free spin waiting for us. Once that is done, we can nominate the player of our choice, and then we can add them to our squad.
After the first reveal, where we got a picture of what cards were arriving, I’m sure the free pull from the Epics pack was already done from your end. So, if you didn’t get the choice of your liking, this Selection Contract will help, and so, here’s my guide to the Legends Assemble Special in eFootball 2025, ranking the picks from the draw.
eFootball 2025 Legends Assemble Special Selection Contract: List of Players
There are 15 players in the Legends Assemble Special Selection Contract you can choose from.
Marco Van Basten
- Position: CF
- Playing Style: Fox in the Box
- Showtime Skill: Phenomenal Finishing
My favorite card here, I’ve been a fan of the single booster version of his, and this one is quite an upgrade, with the big plus being the Show Time skill. For players who know how FITB works, asking them will make you understand Van Basten is a Top 3 striker in this playstyle.

The specialty of this card is great speed and acceleration numbers with high-end finishing stats. He’s exactly the kind of striker who makes defenders panic the moment he gets into the box. His Heading easily reaches the 90s, and his player ID is known to score a good amount of headers.
He has decent balance and Jump, too, so he can pull off some brilliant volleys and headers if you time them right. He comes with the needed skills. Maybe Outside Curler and Aerial Superiority will help him the most.
Oliver Kahn
- Position: GK
- Playstyle: Defensive Goalkeeper
- Showtime Skill: None
Oliver Kahn is surely looking to be one of the top picks from the pack, and I can see why. He comes with amazing numbers, Reflexes, and catching being his standout attributes. I pulled him when he arrived with the Germany pack alongside Rummenigge and Matthäus, and over hundreds of matches, my initial impressions haven’t changed.

Right off the bat, Kahn excels in 1v1 situations, sticks to the line, and has great positioning. The same issues I mentioned last time still exist: long shots beat him more often than they should. It’s not terrible, but noticeable in those sweaty online games.
His low-shot reactions also haven’t improved with time, and that does get frustrating. Among defensive keepers, Schmeichel is my number 1 pick, followed by Buffon, Cech, and Dida. Show Time Courtois is at the top, above these, Kahn does not come even close to being an upgrade.
Fabio Cannavaro
- Position: CB
- Playing Style: Destroyer
- Showtime Skill: None
When I saw Cannavaro in the European Clubs Guardians pack, he was an instant pull for me as I missed out on the National Team version. KONAMI gave us the latter, where the downside is not having a Fortress show time skill.

Both cards are almost identical, with little to no difference. He steps out fast, presses tight, and makes life miserable for strikers trying to turn or dribble past. He’s brilliant in 1v1 defending. The card just sticks to attackers like glue and recovers quickly, even if you get turned once.
The biggest problem is surely aerial. I had the 104-rated single booster version of Cannavaro, and it had 90 Heading stats, which had no problem defending in the air. Both cards can be improved with the progression, but still, I don’t see it as much of an improvement. At RB, this card shines best.
Diego Forlan
- Position: CF
- Playing Style: Goal Poacher
- Showtime Skill: None
Here’s a favourite pick of many. I have the Captain Tsubasa version and can understand the hype. What stands out immediately is how sharp his movement is. He constantly positions himself between defenders and is always ready for a first-time finish.

His finishing feels top-tier, and the Kicking Power is devastating. Even from the edge of the box, he can send rockets flying into the net. He has solid dribbling and balance, and that also helps you to feel he is actually fast, much more than he was in real life.
If you’re pulling him or already did, I’d recommend investing a few points into Physical Contact. Sometimes, he can get nudged off the ball, especially if you want him to hold up against meta CBs. But honestly, that’s a minor tweak. Forlan’s still one of the cleanest finishers I’ve used this year.
Martin Caceres
- Position: LB
- Playing Style: Offensive Fullback
- Showtime Skill: Fortress
If you overlook Caceres because he’s listed as an LB and doesn’t have a high OVR, you’re probably missing out. Sitting at 107-rated CB, if you build him that way, he ticks the right boxes. His positioning and aggression are just too good to keep him tied to the flanks.

His speed is a huge plus; once you push that stat into the 90s, he starts winning foot races and covering gaps like a natural defender. Slap the defending instruction to him still, which allows you to play him as a CB.
Bebeto
- Position: CF
- Playing Style: Fox in the Box
- Showtime Skill: None
Just like the above example, Bebeto is also an overlooked player. Following the experience of trying him from the National Attackers pack back in March, I can say this card is really good striker material.

He moves sharply, positions himself smartly in the box, and when you get him in the right spaces, his finishing is really on point. People say this is a Mini-Romario, and maybe if physicals were a little better, I could say he would have been close.
No weak foot is something many of us don’t consider, and this guy can shoot from any angle. The only trade-off is that you get a lively runner and clean finisher, but not someone who can clash bodies. Fast FITB striker, I suggest trying him. Goal Poachers are already too many.
Paul Scholes
- Position: AMF
- Playing Style: Creative Playmaker
- Showtime Skill: Visionary Pass
Honestly, when I saw Scholes get the Creative Playmaker role when he arrived with the National Midfielders pack, my first thought was that an Orchestrator build would have fit him far better. Still, I don’t see many excited for this card, which is quite strange.

As an AMF, he doesn’t bring the cutting edge you’d hope for in the final third. The stats for passing and dribbling are strong, but when you play with him, he doesn’t feel agile or fluid; kind of stiff. I ended up shifting him into a CMF role, and that’s where he felt more natural.
From deeper positions, his range passing shines, especially the weighted and lofted ones. And let’s not forget his long shots; those rising rockets still pack a punch even though kicking power seems like a downgrade. So if you’ve pulled him, I suggest going for a CMF build to maximize his utility.
Dragan Stojkovic
- Position: AMF
- Playing Style: Creative Playmaker
- Showtime Skill: None
This guy came alongside Scholes and is not the card many wanted for sure, but he’s a solid one. Sticking to my first impressions here, Stojkovic is smooth; his ball control and tight possession make him glide across midfield. And even if some of the stats don’t scream elite, his in-game feel tells a different story.

What makes him special is his ability to dictate the rhythm; his passing is pinpoint. Adding more skills will help for sure. His shooting from range is pretty solid too; there’s power in those finesse efforts. If you want more burst, you can push his speed past 90, but you’ll have to compromise on other attributes.
Xabi Alonso
- Position: CMF
- Playstyle: Orchestrator
- Showtime Skill: Visionary Pass
This version of Xabi Alonso plays true to his Orchestrator role, with top-tier passing stats across the board. His Low Pass and Lofted Pass are among the highest you’ll find with the auto build, and boosting that is his Visionary Pass skill.

He has solid dribbling control to work from deep positions. Where he falls short is mobility. With only moderate acceleration and speed, he doesn’t feel sharp. You can push those numbers, though.
His stamina might be a miss, but he’s strong defensively with high numbers in awareness, engagement, and tackling. But unless you’re building a slow-tempo midfield, there are quicker, better options out there. Still, this is a balanced card, surely overlooked.
Denilson
- Position: LWF
- Playing Style: Cross Specialist
- Showtime Skill: None
Denilson is one of those cards you don’t pick for meta reasons; you pick him for flair, fun, and pure wing play. This card is getting plenty of hate already, but dribblers can make the best use of him. Arriving first with the Brazil pack, the card is just built differently when it comes to dribbling.

His feet are insanely quick, the tight control, the direction changes, the responsiveness, everything looks good to me. So for this reason, giving him mid-90s dribbling is better. The rest of the progression points must be given for passing, as I felt the 80s range saw a good improvement for him as a creator.
Kaká
- Position: AMF
- Playstyle: Creative Playmaker
- Showtime Skill: Phenomenal Pass
This Kaka card leans heavily into dribbling and passing, offering quick feet and sharp turns thanks to his dribbling and ball control in a good range. His speed and balance make him effective when carrying the ball forward.

But he doesn’t seem to be that standout Kaka you would have expected. Feels like he was intentionally crippled. He doesn’t bring top-tier shooting, and Phenomenal Pass seems to be a saving grace. For creative setups in new teams, he fits in well, but he’s not a must-pick for veterans.
Iker Casillas
- Position: GK
- Playstyle: Offensive Goalkeeper
- Showtime Skill: None
A controversial player ID in Casillas has made players rethink. He brings strong shot-stopping attributes to the game, especially in reflexes and diving, making him a reliable keeper on the line. His Jump and GK skills look really neat.

However, his performance is inconsistent. I’ve observed this even in his best versions. This is mainly because his player ID has average coverage attributes, so these stats sadly don’t cut.
Gareth Bale
- Position: CF
- Playstyle: Goal Poacher
- Showtime Skill: Blitz Curler
This version of Bale is molded more like a striker than his usual winger role. He’s extremely fast for that CF, making him lethal on the break. His finishing is high enough to rely on, especially combined with his range of long-shot traits.

He gets Blitz Curler, and that’s a major plus. Dribbling is shockingly bad. Bale was never a bad dribbler. His weak foot and stamina are serious red flags, and you may feel his off-ball movement isn’t as responsive as other top CFs because of the lack of offensive awareness. Best used in a counter setup.
Wayne Rooney
- Position: SS
- Playstyle: Hole Player
- Showtime Skill: Phenomenal Finishing
This is the card I pulled from the free try. First impressions, Rooney offers a well-rounded offensive presence. He has solid ball control, tight possession, and passing, paired with good finishing and strong kicking power. His physicality and stamina also give him staying power in the game.

That said, online gameplay is hit or miss. I tried two builds for SS/AMF and CF, and I felt that at CF, he isn’t a fit, not just playing style, but the build itself. The speed increased, too. It feels heavy for me, and while he does a bit of everything, there are better specialists for each role. He’s more of a utility attacker on your side.
Carles Puyol
- Position: CB
- Playstyle: Destroyer
- Showtime Skill: None
As a Barca fan, I would say this is a pretty disrespectful card for one of the best in the game. For F2P newcomers, this card is decent. Defensive numbers are high 90s, which are the saving grace. His physical contact and jumping are also excellent, helping with aerial duels.

On the ball, he’s extremely limited. His low dribbling and balance can lead to turnovers, and that speed is pretty much unacceptable where there are pacey forwards. Still, I do think you can find the right pairing with a faster, taller CB and make Puyol work.
eFootball 2025 Legends Assemble Special Selection Contract Tier List and who to choose
Okay! After the review, here’s my final tier list of players, after experience of spilling the P2W way and understanding the overview of the cards from their previous versions.
| Tier | Players |
|---|---|
| SSS (Overpowered) | Marco Van Basten |
| SS (Very Strong) | Fabio Cannavaro, Diego Forlan, Martin Caceres |
| S (Strong) | Paul Scholes, Bebeto, Xabi Alonso |
| A (Good) | Oliver Kahn, Dragan Stojkovic |
| B (Average) | Denilson, Kaká, Gareth Bale, Wayne Rooney |
| C (Below Average) | Iker Casillas, Puyol |
Simply put, many don’t rate Marco Van Basten for his FITB playstyle, but he is one of the best strikers available in the game, doesn’t come with any weaknesses, and it is simply foolish to miss out on him, in my opinion. I would have ranked Forlan in the same tier, but Phenomenal Finishing is a miss, and trust me, that is a difference maker.
For defense, I still feel Caceres would be the best CB pick as he adds the extra pace, height, and build-up elements too. Sadly, Iker Casillas and Puyol have been treated harshly over them not having good player IDs, so unless you are going to build themed squads, my suggestion is to skip B and C tiers.
