A new season in eFootball always means more tempting packs, and the Over-the-Top Pass A set is one of the best in the 2026 season. This one comes with a strong mix of legends and active stars, all fitted with the new Show Time skills.
The lineup has two Milan icons, Marco van Basten and Frank Rijkaard, joined by Inter’s Lautaro Martínez and Nicolò Barella in their Show Time forms. Each card brings something unique to the table, so let’s dive into them.
eFootball 2026 Over-the-Top Pass A Players
Marco van Basten
- Position: CF
- Playing Style: Goal Poacher
- Show Time Skills: Phenomenal Finishing and Momentum Dribbling
There we go, a Goal Poacher Van Basten is surely a wet dream for many, given how amazing his FITB version is. More frequent runs in this card, and of course, come with two amazing ST skills here. And yes, he feels exactly like that when you put him on the pitch.
His finishing is ice-cold, the type of card where you know one chance usually means one goal. This isn’t a surprise, to be honest, and even in my build, I’ve allocated fewer points to make his dribbling a strength, and still, I haven’t seen him miss any shot, yet. Heading is also decent; you can boost those numbers if you want to.
Now, I know many are curious if Momentum Dribbling is any good. Oh boy, very much. It is pretty easy to move with him, and with the Double Touch skill passed onto him, easy to flick a touch and shoot. But still, his best attribute is positioning and running, and with speed, he has enough to run along and score.
Frank Rijkaard
- Position: DMF
- Playing Style: Orchestrator
- Show Time Skills: Fortress and Visionary Pass
Rijkaard is the all-around midfielder here, and he feels like a rock in front of the defense. Defensively, he is excellent at cutting out attacks, timing challenges well, and just being a presence that I’m sure opponents don’t want to deal with.
He covers ground smartly rather than chasing recklessly, so you can barely notice him leaving his position. Still, I would recommend Anchoring instruction slapped onto him, because you need such guys in the centre.
What makes this card even better is that he is a stellar passer. With Visionary Pass as part of his skill set, even better. For players who want control in midfield with both defensive security and distribution, Rijkaard is the pick. Now, I have a dream midfield of Rijkaard, Matthaus, and Zico, oof.
Lautaro Martínez
- Position: CF
- Playing Style: Goal Poacher
- Show Time Skills: Phenomenal Finishing and Blitz Curler
I know stats might be really good and can start for many squads, but if you are looking for that deadly “Blitz“, then I ask you not to get your hopes high. Let me share the striker aspects of his first, and without doubt, this is a solid card.
Lautaro comes in as the fiery forward option, somewhat carrying a similar profile to Basten‘s, but not with that finishing prowess or Aerial game. Still, he is that stamina machine, with him constantly on the move, pressing defenders, and looking for gaps to run into.
Now, the Blitz problem is something I noted with Christian Vieri, too. The Curl isn’t pretty strong, and with this, you also get no room to adjust those Finishing numbers as well. Disappointing situation this. I surely think Acceleration Burst would have been a solid option, but yeah, it didn’t happen.
Nicolò Barella
- Position: DMF
- Playing Style: Orchestrator
- Show Time Skills: Phenomenal Pass
This card would have been that starter material B2B player, but stuck because of the new Link-Up style situation. Still, Barella is the engine card. He is the kind of midfielder who feels everywhere on the pitch. He presses hard, wins challenges, and keeps the ball moving quickly once he has it.
His energy is relentless, and he doesn’t seem to fade late in games, which makes him one of the most dependable midfielders in this pool. Surely won’t recommend him to be a lone DMF, I would rather have him built as a CMF and have a pure DMF alongside him.
Verdict on the eFootball 2026 Over-the-Top Pass A players
Well, this is a mixed bag. 200 player packs isn’t something I usually recommend, but I was surprised I had better luck in this and the first Link-Up pack, Diagonal Long Pass A. Compared to the Long Pass A, this is a strong upgrade.
So, would I go for this pack 10/10 times? No, but this is pretty close. A really strong pack, with Basten and Rijkaard alone taking most of the points. If this pack had Gullit, maybe a full rating, but yeah, only a man can dream of these two new ST skills packs.
