Dive into the depths of the Abyss and battle with powerful bosses
Made in Abyss ~An Irredeemable Journey of Mysteries is a deck-building roguelike RPG based on the dark fantasy world of Made in Abyss. I was waiting for more details since its reveal last year, so I’m really excited now. It’ll be fun collecting relics, battling enemies, and exploring the abyss as a Cave Raider.
As a fan of the anime, I also can’t wait to collect and upgrade cards featuring fan-favourite characters like Riko, Reg and Nanachi. Plus, the relics you collect let you use hidden powers during your cave raids. And with path selection, you can change the course of each expedition by choosing different paths.
For now, the game looks promising to me, though it’s too early to judge. I mean, managing supplies while pushing towards the deepest layer and facing the Abyss’ primeval creatures and bosses like the Crimson Splitjaw sounds like a great loop. My only issue is that it’s in portrait mode instead of a landscape format.
Made in Abyss ~An Irredeemable Journey of Mysteries is now open for pre-registration on iOS. You can now go ahead and pre-register for the game via the App Store. We can expect the game to release on September 23, 2026, based on the App Store’s listing. Stay tuned for Android pre-registrations.
