eFootball 2026 Festive Season Selection Contract Guide: Best player to choose and Tier List

Best of the lot?

eFootball 2026 wraps up the year, KONAMI is going all out with its Festive Season campaign, and this one feels especially rewarding for active players. Yes, the grind is pretty long, but we can get our hands on the Festive Season Selection Contract that gives us a free Epic in eFootball 2026.

With so many solid choices available, deciding who to sign can be tricky, so this guide breaks everything down in a simple way to help you choose the best player for your squad and understand where each option stands in the tier list.

eFootball 2026 Festive Season Selection Contract: List of Players

There are a total of seven Epic players to choose from. While the Selection Contract becomes available after completing 21 Chance Deals, it’s recommended to wait until all 27 Chance Deals expire before using it, as this helps avoid pulling duplicate players.

Filippo Inzaghi

  • Position: CF
  • Playing Style: Goal Poacher
  • Showtime Skill: Phenomenal Finishing

Luckily, pulled him. A new Epic Inzaghi is always predictable in the best way possible. This version stays true to everything people associate with him in eFootball: constant movement, sharp positioning, and an obsession with being at the right place at the right time.

As expected, his Poacher playstyle means relentless runs behind the defense and a strong presence inside the box. He won’t offer much on the ball, and that’s fine, I guess, because Inzaghi cards have never been about flair or hold-up play. Give him service, and he’ll do the rest.

Phenomenal Finishing fits him naturally and reinforces his identity as a clutch striker. This doesn’t look like a reinvented Inzaghi, but rather a refined version of what already works. Yes, a Super Sub would be a good fit, I would say.

Oliver Kahn

  • Position: GK
  • Playing Style: Defensive Goalkeeper
  • New Showtime Skill: GK Spirit Roar

Oliver Kahn gets yet another Epic card, but this one stands out mainly because of the brand-new goalkeeper Show Time skill attached to it. GK Spirit Roar is introduced as part of the campaign, and while the idea sounds impactful, how it actually performs in real matches is still unclear.

The skill is said to boost the physical strength of defenders when your team is leading after halftime, and Kahn is in goal. As a card overall, this version of Kahn doesn’t immediately scream “a must have”. Stats-wise, all go over 90, but this is still not close to his best cards.

Even the best Kahn cards have been hit or miss, and I believe many might have picked him in the Legends Assemble Special Selection pack. If you do not have a high-rated GK or want to be among the ones to get hands on the GK Spirit Roar, this is good.

Javier Zanetti

  • Position: LB
  • Playing Style: Offensive Fullback
  • Showtime Skill: Fortress

Might be the pick of many, because it’s Zanetti. One of the player fullbacks in history and as well as in the game, I’m kind of disappointed this beast is yet to get a card in eFootball 2026, but it might change soon since they are offering his older epic card, which arrived in the Inter pack in April this year, for us, for free.

He isn’t an RB here, nor is he a defensive fullback. From my experience, he is an engine, and, as I mentioned last time, he can overlap all games and still track back without feeling exposed. He is pretty covered in every base of the game, strong in tackles, clean on the ball, and dependable during buildup.

Since he’s labelled as an Offensive Fullback, I’d suggest leaning slightly into that with the build. Boost his passing and dribbling a bit, keep his speed in the low 90s, and you’ll get a very well-rounded fullback who can defend, cross, and pull in a full 90 every match.

Xabi Alonso

  • Position: DMF
  • Playing Style: Orchestrator
  • Showtime Skill: None

I’ve tried this version of Xabi Alonso before, and he plays exactly how you’d expect an Orchestrator to. Everything about this card revolves around distribution. His passing range is elite, making switches of play and line-breaking balls feel effortless.

On the ball, he feels secure enough to operate from deep areas without panicking. That said, mobility has always been his weak spot, and this re-run doesn’t change that. Acceleration and speed feel average, though you can tweak the build to help a little.

Stamina can also be a concern, but defensively, he holds his own with good positioning and timely tackles. Unless you’re running a slower, possession-heavy setup, there are better DMFs available.

Stefano Fiore

  • Position: RMF
  • Playing Style: Hole Player
  • Showtime Skill: None

Exactly a year ago, we saw the New Year Epic Pack arrive, and it had this particular card. If I’m being honest, a lot of changed since then, especially the number of Hole Players; Fiore still feels just as fun to use ever since I first pulled him.

I’ve played a decent number of games with him, and I can comfortably say this is a very enjoyable Hole Player card. His dribbling and tight possession are his best strengths. Once he gets moving, his speed and acceleration make him tough to stop.

I initially built him as a winger, but what surprised me was his finishing. He’s far more clinical inside the box than you’d expect, and his kicking power lets him threaten from distance too. Buff his passing a bit, and he can also deliver some very clean balls into the area.

Albert Ferrer

  • Position: CB
  • Playing Style: Destroyer
  • Showtime Skill: None

I haven’t tried this Ferrer card yet, but purely from looking at the profile, this is one of the more unusual CB Epics in the game. The first thing that stands out is how insane his pace is for a centre-back, both Speed and Acceleration comfortably crossing the 90 mark. That alone already puts him in a very small category.

Defensively, the numbers are exactly what you’d want. Defensive Awareness, Tackling, Engagement, and Aggression are all elite. Even though being a Destroyer, he is absolutely fantastic in ball distribution, solid passing numbers. He gets crossing skills, too.

The obvious limitation is height. At 170 cm, aerial duels against tall strikers could be the main concern, even though his Jump and Physical Contact stats try to compensate for it. Using him as a third CB, RB or even as a DMF feels like a very smart alternative, where he can really shine without constantly being tested aerially.

Daniele Massaro

  • Position: CF
  • Playing Style: Fox in the Box

Massaro is a very interesting card on paper, and one that doesn’t fit into a single stereotype. His stat distribution looks surprisingly well-rounded for a Fox in the Box striker. Finishing and Offensive Awareness are strong, as expected, with good physical stats.

With the right build, both Speed and Acceleration can reach the 90s, which is always valuable for a striker operating inside the box. He can also contribute aerially, with solid Heading and Jump stats. His finishing profile is complemented by a very good shooting skill set.

He does have a smaller frame, so on paper, lower dribbling numbers might not matter much in tight spaces. This might also hinder his jumping and chances of winning aerial duels. Still, overall, this can be a surprise card that could work fantastically in the right hands.

eFootball 2026 Festive Season Selection Contract Tier List and who to choose

Okay! After reviewing our seven picks, here’s my final tier list of players.

TierPlayers
SSS (Overpowered)NA
SS (Very Strong)Javier Zanetti
S (Strong)Stefano Fiore, Filippo Inzaghi
A (Good)Oliver Kahn, Xabi Alonso, Albert Ferrer, Daniele Massaro
B (Average)NA
C (Below Average)NA

If I were to sum up our options, I can clearly say there aren’t any top-tier endgame options, nor cards that are average or below average. Zanetti, going by experience, is the best and obvious pick here. Fiore and Inzaghi are both solid options, too.
