Clash of Clans is bringing a new Hero, Pet, a Spell Tower, and more in the February 2026 update

A few new additions!

Story Highlights
  • Clash of Clans brings new Pet Greedy Raven unlocks with Pet House Level 12.
  • Earthquake Spell Tower added with new Troop and Defense upgrade levels added.

While the next season is bringing some amazing changes to the Gold Pass, Clash of Clans is all set to make some fantastic new additions. We’re getting new troop levels, new defense levels, a brand-new Spell Tower option, 75 more walls to upgrade, and a completely new pet called the Greedy Raven, although the eyes are on the new Hero.

Everything announced with the Clash of Clans February 2026 update

New Hero Teased: Dragon Duke

Clash of Clans has officially teased a brand-new Hero called the Dragon Duke, but when the update goes live, he will remain locked. Once the update arrives, inside the Hero Hall, you can scroll and see the Dragon Duke listed with the message “Breaking Loose Soon!”

Tapping on the info tab does not show any stats yet. The same applies in the Blacksmith, where his equipment appears but is fully grayed out. The Dragon Duke requires Hero Hall Level 9, which means he unlocks at Town Hall 15.

The Hero will release with three pieces of Common Equipment. However, full details about his abilities will be revealed later, as the community will need to participate in a special event to officially unlock him.

New Pet: Greedy Raven

The headline addition of this update is the brand-new pet, the Greedy Raven. Upgrading the Pet House to Level 12 unlocks it. This upgrade costs 25.5 million Elixir and takes 13 days and 12 hours.

Once unlocked, the Greedy Raven starts at Level 1 and can be upgraded using Dark Elixir. At max level, it has 3,500 hit points and deals 155 DPS, but the key feature is its 5x damage multiplier against resource buildings.

That means it deals 775 DPS to storages, Town Halls, and other resource structures. It has an 8-tile range and will prioritize resource buildings within range. If none are nearby, it attacks regular defenses or enemy units.

This makes it extremely strong for farming. It can quickly melt storages and Town Halls, speeding up resource-focused attacks. It can also help during Warden walks or Queen charges targeting resource-heavy compartments.

New Spell Tower: Earthquake Spell Tower

The biggest defensive addition in this sneak peek is the new Earthquake Spell Tower. Upgrading the Spell Tower to Level 4 unlocks the ability to switch it to Earthquake mode. The upgrade costs 27 million Gold and takes 14 days before boosts.

When triggered, the Earthquake Spell Tower deals 30% damage to ground troops within its radius. It only affects ground units; air troops are not impacted. Just like other Spell Towers, a ground troop must remain in range for 1.2 seconds to activate it. Once triggered, it has a 50-second rearm timer.

Earthquake Spell gets new Levels and Mechanics

The Earthquake Spell is getting multiple new levels, but more importantly, a new mechanic. It now deals percentage-based damage to defending units. At higher levels, this scales up to 14% troop damage.

While this might not seem huge at first glance, it becomes impactful when combined with Fireball-based hero sniping strategies. If you regularly use Fireball to weaken defending heroes, the upgraded Earthquake can help finish them off more consistently.

Ranked Mode Changes

Ranked battles are getting several important improvements aimed at reducing abuse and smoothing progression. First, anti-spam protection has officially been added. Ranked battles now follow the same rules as regular multiplayer attacks, meaning you must finish your current battle before starting another one.

Incorrect demotion warnings that appeared for some players have also been fixed. In addition, the required battle count in several higher leagues has been reduced. Leagues such as Titan, Dragon, and Electro Dragon now require fewer battles to complete a season cycle.

Promotion and demotion zones have also been adjusted across multiple leagues. Some mid-tier leagues now require a higher promotion percentage, while certain high-tier leagues have slightly increased demotion thresholds.

Other Changes and Bug Fixes

This update also brings several balance tweaks and important fixes. The Unbreakable achievement has been reduced from 5,000 defenses to 500, making it far more achievable. CWL now supports 5v5 wars, giving smaller clans more flexibility.

Poison now affects Guardians, though they only receive 70% of the movement and attack speed debuff. Hero Potion and Mighty Morsel now apply only to attacks, not defense.

Geared-up defense info screens now show correct values, and the geared-up Mortar no longer fires with zero delay. Longshot splash damage has also been fixed.

Several UI improvements have been added, including clickable locked items, better visibility in the Blacksmith and Hero Selector, and the ability to toggle decoration effects.

The Thrower Level 4 buff has been reverted, and the Totem Spell has been toned down with reduced radius and no damage. Finally, the Ore exploit has been fully fixed, and any excess Ore gained has been removed.
