Gabriel Batistuta
- Position: CF
- Playing Style: Fox In The Box
- Show Time Skill: Phenomenal Finishing
If you’ve used Batistuta before, especially his European Clubs Attackers Goal Poacher version, you already know what he brings to the table. This version shifts him into a Fox In The Box role, which honestly suits his natural instincts just as well.
Unlike the Goal Poacher version that actively looks to break defensive lines, this one feels more static in comparison. He positions himself centrally and waits for service rather than aggressively attacking space. Depending on your system, that can either be perfect or slightly limiting.
In two-striker formations or crossing-heavy setups, he performs very well. But if you rely heavily on movement and quick link-up play from your center forward, this version may feel a bit restricted. The FITB role sometimes holds him in place, and this is different from his Roma version.
That said, once chances come his way, he remains clinical. He doesn’t need multiple touches, and honestly, he can’t take them smoothly anyways; they feel a bit heavy to my liking. Aerial game is awesome too, and physicality is something I always loved about him.
