- Each hero brings unique strengths, shaping battles that decide the fate of your Sanctuary.
- Choosing the right heroes determines whether your tribe survives or fades into legend.
Choosing the right heroes in Fate War plays a very important role, and it may very well decide the outcome of your battles. Because this strategy game revolves around long-term growth and smart resource control, your hero lineup directly shapes how fast you expand and how well you survive.
While buildings and troops are also important to your tribe, heroes are the main deal when it comes to winning battles. However, Fate War doesn’t make hero selection simple. And as a result, many beginners waste precious resources upgrading heroes that look flashy but don’t perform well.
That’s exactly where this Fate War Hero Tier List comes in to help you invest in the right hero. Also, read our Beginners Guide, Currency Guide for the best start and our Redeem Codes article for free gifts. And our Customer Support guide is right around the corner when you need help.

Best Heroes in Fate War
1. Amaterasu
Amaterasu stands as one of the most flexible and powerful heroes in Fate War, which is why she firmly earns an SS-tier placement. Rather than locking herself into one role, Amaterasu adapts a more balanced role.

She can lead any soldier type effectively, which immediately sets her apart from more specialized heroes. Additionally, her unlocked talents grant defensive buffs, increased attack buffs, and troop-wide buffs that increase HP.
Her skill kit shines especially in prolonged battles. God’s Blessing provides clutch healing when needed, while Reflective Light occasionally turns enemy damage back against them. Over time, these effects swing fights in your favor. Meanwhile, her awakened skill, Final Judgment, delivers devastating damage that ignores enemy defenses, making her lethal against weakened targets.
2. Erin
If Fate War had a textbook definition of a cavalry hero, Erin would be the example. Erin’s strength lies in her ability to finish fights quickly. Her Wind Slash burst skill deals immediate damage and frequently triggers additional hits. Meanwhile, her awakened skill, Nord’s Wrath, amplifies this damage even further and ensures enemies never escape.

What elevates Erin to the SS tier is her rage generation and defense penetration. Swift Maneuver gives troops a 10% chance of generating more rage, while Identify Weakness allows her cavalry troops to cut through opponents by ignoring 7.5% of their defense.
3. Yi Sun-sin
Yi Sun-sin occupies a very specific but incredibly important role, which is garrison defense. Yi Sun-sin doesn’t shine unless you commit resources to upgrading his skills. And without proper development, he feels underwhelming. But once fully built, he transforms your city into a fortress.

His passive skills boost rage recovery, increase attack when his HP drops, and grant stacking damage reduction through Unbreakable Fortress. And his awakened skill, Unity is Strength, completely changes defensive battles.
It strips enemy buffs, removes shields, and grants him multiple layers of Fortitude, allowing him to withstand overwhelming assaults. Because he can lead any troop type and provides defensive buffs, Yi Sun-sin excels against enemy raids and siege attempts.
4. Helda
As a hero that commands Axethrower troops, she specializes in burst damage and siege warfare. When built correctly, she melts even the toughest targets in seconds. Her kit revolves around skill damage amplification and healing reduction.

Shadowmoon Rending and Healing Impairment cripple enemy heals. Meanwhile, Curse of the Blood Moon steadily increases her skill damage over time. And in siege battles, Helda’s is perfect against settlements, and that makes her a nightmare for enemy cities.
Final Thoughts
Fate War rewards players who invest wisely and think long-term. While every hero has a purpose, not every hero deserves equal attention. At the same time, your personal playstyle matters, so feel free to try out more heroes. Build smart, plan, and your tribe will stand strong in a world shaped by fate.
