Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3: Tips to complete the Ultimate Murder Mystery quest

Complete the quest and get closer to the Macaw Darkwings Back Bling!

The new Chapter 3 Season 3 of Fortnite is now live in full swing with the introduction of the No Sweat Summer event. Players can complete various challenges and quests to earn tons of XP and some incredible in-game cosmetics namely the Macaw Darkwings Back Bling. In order to get the Macaw Darkwings, loopers will need the complete the six different Island Hopper Quests, with one of them being the Ultimate Murder Mystery quest. In this guide, we will discuss how to complete the Ultimate Murder Mystery quest in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3, and get one step closer to the Macaw Darkwings.

How to complete the Ultimate Murder Mystery quest in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3

One of the maps in Fortnite is Ultimate Murder Mystery, and you are required to collect 50 gold coins all across the place to complete it. Before we jump into things, note that you either have to get 50 Gold Coins as an Innocent or accumulate 5 melee kills as a Hunter or Sherrif.

The end result will be the same, that is 10,000 XP. If you want to enjoy a free, creative game for this round, going the coin-collecting way is easier rather than taking part in a close-up deathmatch. There are two ways to collect coins in this challenge.

1. How to collect the 50 Gold Coins

The map offers a daily present for each day you log in and that gives you 25 coins per day. So simply logging in and claiming the reward for 2 days should be enough to complete this one. Otherwise, if you don’t want to spend 2 days on this, you can join any game and collect coins from all over the map. It is worth considering that completing various tasks and even dying while in a game will reward you with coins, so collecting coins shouldn’t be too hard this way either.

2. How to get the Melee kills

As we said earlier, you can also complete the Ultimate Murder Mystery challenge by accumulating 5 melee kills. However, this can only be done if you are playing as a Sheriff or a Hunter. Doing this is considerably harder than the con collection as there will be many players trying to run away from you as you are playing as the one trying to catch them.

Ultimate Murder Mystery Quest Rewards

Doing either of these two things will reward you with the 10,000 XP as promised on completion of the Ultimate Murder Mystery challenge. This is just one of the six main quests that give you 10,000 XP each for a total of 60,000 XP. Be sure you complete each of them as this will be helpful in filling up the Battlepass requirements and earning amazing rewards.
