Be sure to secure your account and grab the freebie available!

Epic Games have introduced 2FA (2-factor authentication) for Fortnite the famous battle royale game in order to increase the security of accounts in the game. 2FA protects the accounts of Fortnite players with a second security layer, a method that could be chosen by the players as to how they would want it to be. On top of this successfully completing the 2FA feature they also get the free Boogiedown to emote in the game and it also lets them use the gifting system present in the game.

How to enable 2-factor authentication on your Fortnite Account

Enabling the 2FA feature is fairly simple and straightforward, we have listed the step-by-step guide that will help you how to enable the feature below:

1. Open the Epic Games website

The first step is fairly simple just search and open the official website of Epic games.

2. Login with your account credentials

While on the website be sure to log in to the game with your actual profile so that you would be able to complete the 2FA authentication of the game.

3. Click on your profile option present on the top right-hand side of the screen

Once logged in be sure to click on the profile option present in the top right corner, to access the profile-related options.

4. Tap on the Account option

Out of all the options be sure to select the account option present just below the profile icon, to select the account-related options

5. Click on the password and security option

Once in the account option, the next step would be to select the Password and Security option present on the left-hand side taskbar. Choose this to access the options on how to authenticate your profile.

6. Scroll down to the 2FA option on the screen

Now scroll down once you are in the Password section to make sure that you can access the 2FA features, they are present on the bottom side of the screen under the password tabs, which is very hard to miss.

7. Select the way you would want to authenticate your profile.

Now, Epic games give you three options on how to authenticate your profile you can either choose from the Email option where you will just have to type in the security code sent to the email linked to your Epic account to activate 2FA via email. Probably the best option available.

The other option will be via Third-party authentication, which can be done via using a scanner, or an official authenticator app, whatever you choose between these two, you will get a code which you will have to enter in the box given below those two options, it is an easy way to do it but certainly not the easiest available.
