The Exotic Icy Grappler was made a part of Fortnite during the v28.01.01 update, which was released before Winterfest 2023 was launched. Even though it was available in the game earlier, the Exotic Icy Grappler was only unvaulted in Fortnite in various locations only after Winterfest 2023 was made live.
There are a lot of places where you can look for the Exotic Icy Grappler. Even though it is an Exotic rarity weapon, it can be found inside standard chests and as floor loot. So going to POIs and locations where the spawning rate is good should be the better route for you. You can also look for this weapon inside Holiday Presents which makes it even easier to get a hold of it.
How to use the Exotic Icy Grappler in Fortnite Winterfest 2023
The Exotic Icy Grappler is very similar to the normal Grappler which is found in Fortnite. The only difference is that blocks of ice will form at the feet of your character when you use the weapon. They can be quite slippery and difficult to control, but once you can control it properly, you’ll be able to use it to slide to other places in a matter of seconds. For example, you can use it to slide down a mountain very quickly.
The Exotic Icy Grappler can be used an unlimited number of times and also has no cooldown period, unlike most mobility items in Fortnite. This makes it a good weapon to carry around to move very fast with the downside of having slippery blocks of ice on your field. But once you get a hang of it, you’ll be able to use this feature to your advantage easily.
