Foundation: Galactic Frontier Champion Tier List: Best Champions Ranked
I have prepared this list by categorizing the Champions into types: Ion, Beam, and Kinetic. To make it simple, I have further divided them into four major tiers: Overpowered (SSS), Strong (S), Good (A), and Average (B).

Best Champions in Foundation: Galactic Frontier
Best Ion Champion – Ajita
Ajita is one of the strongest Ion Champions in the game. Her Deadly Trap! Ground passive allows every fourth normal attack to deal extra damage while restoring a portion of your max energy. And with Surge! tactical ability, you can fire an explosive bullet that deals massive damage to enemies and then detonates for an additional burst.
Her Weapon Mastery normal attack lets you fire three bullets per attack. In Space Combat, you can activate her Party Time! passive by using an active skill, reducing counterattack damage for the entire formation for a few seconds. Another passive, One After Another, increases the ATK of Ion Flagships and Combat Craft within the formation.
And her Warp Up! active ability inspires all crew members, restoring formation HP based on a % of your formation’s total ATK. Oh, Champions also have Ultimate Abilities in this game, and her Flow State ability reduces the damage taken from other Champion abilities for the entire formation by 10%.
Best Kinetic Champion – Zora Domini
For Kinetic Champions, Zora Dominii is easily the best. In Ground combat, her Power Up passive enhances your normal attack, allowing each bullet to deal solid damage with added penetration for a few seconds. Her Vortex of Order tactical ability lets you throw a Vortex Field device that deals INT damage, pulls nearby enemies to the center, then detonates for extra damage while granting the normal attack the Penetration effect.
Unlike Ajita, her normal attack allows up to four consecutive attacks, each firing four bullets with the Knockback effect. In Space Combat, her Mighty Grip passive increases the INT of Kinetic Flagship and Combat Craft within the formation, while Vengeful Gaze increases the damage of each missile launched by her active ability.
I like her Unyielding Decree active skill, which unleashes eight Thermal Swarmer Missiles that cover a wide area and deal heavy damage. Finally, her Bitter Revenge ultimate amplifies the ability damage of all Champions in your formation by 10%.
Best Beam Champion – Evan Rogers
Lastly, for Beam Champions, Evan Rogers is the strongest one. In Ground combat, his Glacial Hunt passive increases your ATK after using the ultimate. For me, his Killing Machine tactical ability is the real deal, as it instantly activates his Nano Armor and transforms his normal attack into four powerful melee strikes that deal massive damage based on his ATK to enemies.
Like Zora, you can perform four consecutive attacks. Coming to Space combat, his Expert Proficiency passive increases the ATK of Beam Flagships and Combat Craft within the formation, while Scheming Attack increases the damage dealt by each laser unleashed by his active ability.
His active ability, Hunting Time, is also broken, as it taps into his hidden potential, firing two High-Energy Lasers for a few seconds, each dealing consistent damage based on formation ATK every 0.2 seconds. Lastly, his Desire to Kill ultimate enhances the ability damage of all Champions in the formation by 10%.
