Ancient Colors is a world quest series found in Fontaine, released in Genshin Impact Version 4.0. This quest series has 3 acts, A Gradient of Dreams and Ochre being the second act. It will become immediately available after completing the first act, A Brush of Seafoam and Crimson. This guide will cover how to find the quest and how to complete it.
Genshin Impact “Ancient Colors Act 2: A Gradient of Dreams and Ochre” World Quest: Collecting Strange Parts
This quest continues from the previous act. Follow the quest marker and talk to Serene. Now you will have to collect 3 out of 4 Strange Parts. Go talk to Cosanzeana behind the entrance to Merusea Village. When the dialogue option with different flowers shows up, pick any flower.
The next time the option of picking flowers shows up, pick the last option that says “(I think that’ll do for now.)” The last time this option shows up, pick any flower that you have in your inventory.
You will have to give this flower. Then the flower will be planted in a pot and you will be asked to apply water to it. Use any Hydro abilities. You will receive one Strange Part. From the entrance of the Merusea Village, go towards the opposite side where the waterfall is, and talk to Iara. Iara will ask you to place bait in a marked location. Talk to Iara after placing the bait and defeat the enemy that spawns. You will receive one Strange Part.
From the entrance of the Merusea village, talk to Verenata who is standing next to a fire. You will be teleported to a beach, and defeat the enemies that spawn. Then talk to Verenata again. Defeat the enemies that spawn and talk to Verenata again. Follow the marker and visit Verenata’s workshop under the sea. You will receive one Strange Part.
Now that you have all 4 Strange Parts, go talk to Mamere at her house. Follow the marker to go to “A Very Bright Place.” Keep following the marker until you reach a teleport waypoint. Defeat the Rifthounds nearby. Follow the marker, glide down to the water body below, and dive to find a trapped Melusine. Use the ability of a Fontemer Aberrant to cut the seagrass. Continue following the marker until you break a rock and unlock a shortcut to the Merusea Village from “A Very Bright Place.”
Use the wormhole here to go to “A Lonely Place.” Defeat the Rifthounds. Use the prism to unlock the crystal. Defeat the Rifthounds that spawn. This will bring an end to the quest.
