Chongyun is a 4 star Claymore wielding character who possesses Cryo vision. He has the unique ability to turn all melee attacks to cryo on using his elemental skill.

- Rimechaser Blade : When the field created by Spirit Blade: Chonghua’s Layered Frost disappears, another spirit blade will be summoned to strike nearby opponents, dealing 100% of Chonghua’s Layered Frost’s Skill DMG as AoE Cryo DMG. Opponents hit by this blade will have their Cryo RES decreased by 10% for 8s.
- Gallant Journey : When dispatched on an expedition in Liyue, time consumed is reduced by 25%.

Wolf’s Gravestone, Skyward Pride is the best 5-star option whereas among the 4 stars Prototype Archaic, Sacrificial Greatsword, and Serpent Spine is the best weapon options.
Best Team Comp
Chongyun works in a lot of teams. For burst support, Perma Freeze and Melt Teams are the best team compositions. A good perma freeze team is Kaeya, Chongyun, Xingqiu, and Bennet Pairing, having two Cryo characters also gives Cryo resonance which increases crit rate considerably making it easier to focus on Crit Damage. Chongyun with any Pyro DPS like Hu Tao, Klee, or Diluc will give players access to high damage potential with melt. Chongyun does well in quick swap teams as well with a prime example being the national team ( Xiangling, Xingqiu, Chongyun, and Bennet).
For Main DPS Chongyun, Shatter Comps is another viable option along with teams that use Superconduct to reduce the physical resistance of enemies.
