Genshin Impact fishing locations, baits and how to obtain ‘The catch’

Lots of fishing locations around the open-world of Genshin Impact!

Patch 2.1 of Genshin Impact has brought to the game a brand-new fishing system. With the introduction of the fishing mechanic, players have new content to explore which gives rewards in return. The rewards are based on the players catching the different kinds of fish. To understand the basics of fishing, one needs to read the fishing system guide. To get the rewards, players need to exchange the fishes they have caught at fishing associations one each in the three nations of Teyvat. In this Genshin Impact guide, we will point out the fishing locations, baits, and how to obtain the weapon ‘The catch’.

How to craft different fishing baits in Genshin Impact

Each type of fish has associated with it, a bait that needs to be used with the rod to successfully catch the fish. Equipping the wrong bait leads to the fish not being attracted to the bait. Hence, travelers would be unable to catch the particular fish they want.

Different types of fishing baits in Genshin Impact

Fishing baits can be crafted at the alchemy station locations after unlocking the blueprints in Genshin Impact. Players already have the recipe for Fruit Paste Bait. All other baits can be bought from the Mondstat fishing association except the Glowgrass bait which can be bought from Inazuma’s fishing association after taking part in the Lunar Realm event.
