“For A Dream I Tarry” (formerly called “While The Dream Lingers”) is a world quest in Genshin Impact found near the Steeple of Ignorance talent material domain. However, if you visit this location for the first time, the world quest icon will not appear on the mini-map.
This does not mean that the quest is hidden. There is a pre-requisite that players need to complete before the quest becomes accessible. The pre-requisite is Archon Quest Chapter III Act II. After completing Archon quest chapter III act II, teleport to the Steeple of Ignorance domain and go to the location of the world quest icon.
How to unlock and start the For A Dream I Tarry World Quest in Genshin Impact
- You will find an NPC called Javi digging near a big tree under a bridge. Talk to him.
- At the end of the conversation, Javi will ask you to find him his “dream.”
- Cross the water and dig under a tree with markers. You will find a box called “Javi’s Dream.”
- Cross the water and hand it over to Javi.
- You will be asked to collect 1 Sumeru Rose seed.
Collecting Sumeru Rose seeds
- Buying Sumeru Rose seeds from the Serenitea Pot realm depot will not work. To collect seeds, you will have to equip the gadget called “Seed Dispenser” from your inventory.
- While equipping this gadget, if you approach a Sumeru Rose flower, you will be able to collect its seed instead.
- Sumeru Roses are almost everywhere in Sumeru. Look around and you should be able to find one.
- After collecting the Sumeru Rose seed, go to the location marked on the map to visit Javi.
- Talk to him. The quest will come to an end.
Genshin Impact Lost In The Sands Quest Completion Rewards
Sadly, this world quest comes with no Primogem rewards. Completing the quest will grant the achievement “Where Have You Gone, My Dream?” You will also be able to collect 20 Sumeru reputation exp from Effendi.
