How to participate in Genshin Impact Lunar Realm fishing event
During the event, players have to join Inazuman fisherwoman Kujirai Momiji on her journey to chase the moon in pursuit of a legendary great fish called the Lunar Leviathan. After completing a series of quests and challenges, you can obtain the event-exclusive fishing rod Moonstringer, Primogems, Mysterious Fish Furnishing, and other rewards. Here’s when the event will start in the game the day it will end in the game.
- Start Date: September 10, 11:00 am Server Time
- End Date: September 20, 03:59 am Server Time
To unlock the Lunar Realm Fishing Event, players should at least be at Adventure Rank 30 or above. Players should have completed the Archon Quest Ritou Escape Plan, unlocked the Serenitea Pot System, and completed the Exploding Population quest given by Mondstadt’s Nantuck. Once done, Kujirai Momiji will invite you to chase the legendary Lunar Leviathan and the event will begin.
Like every other event in Genshin Impact, during this Lunar Realm event, you will have a set of tasks to complete. Complete the tasks to claim exquisite rewards after the event finishes. In order to protect the fish species of Teyvat, you can only catch a maximum of 50 fishes per day in the training pool. Moreover, all fishes will be released beyond that point. When the bait used to catch the event-exclusive fish is used up, you can obtain it repeatedly by talking to Kujirai Momiji.

Things to remember before playing the Lunar Realm event
- Lunar Realm has a total of seven fishing missions and special fishing training. For the first seven days of the event, one quest or special training will be unlocked each day.
- Special fishing training will take place at different times and locations. In order to complete the fishing training, travelers need to choose a suitable fishing rod and bait at the corresponding fishing spot, and complete the specified special training objectives.
- When the bait used to catch the event-exclusive fish is used up, you can obtain it repeatedly by talking to Kujirai Momiji.
