Noelle’s Passive
1st Ascension Passive: When Noelle is in the party but not on the field, this ability triggers automatically when your active character’s HP falls below 30%:
- Creates a shield for your active character that lasts for the 20s and absorbs DMG equal to 400% of Noelle’s DEF. The shield has a 150% DMG Absorption effectiveness against all Elemental and Physical DMG. This effect can only occur once every 60s.
4th Ascension Passive: Every 4 Normal or Charged Attack hits will decrease the CD of Breastplate by 1s.
- Hitting multiple opponents with a single attack is only counted as 1 hit.
Utility Passive: When Perfect Cooking is achieved on a DEF-boosting dish, Noelle has a 12% chance to obtain double the product.

Noelle is a viable main DPS at C0 but on obtaining the 5th and 6th constellation the rotations become easier and with 50% of her defense stats being converted to ATK provides a huge power spike to her DPS potential and also potentially increases her burst uptime.

Best Builds for Noelle
Noelle is best suited for the main DPS role as her kit is geared for that. The healing and shielding are additional perks that she provides but since she heals when she is on the field and her shield is not very strong for being a shielder alone. She since needs to be on the field for a lot of time it is better to use her as a main DPS rather than wasting her potential by using her as a support.
Weapons for Noelle in Genshin Impact
Whiteblind: The 4-star craftable weapon has a defense substat with a decent base attack. The passive increases normal and charged attack as well as defense making it a great fit for Noelle. Another advantage of this weapon is that it is craftable meaning that it can be refined easily as compared to gacha weapons to provide even more value.
