The Paleontological Investigation in the Chasm World quest came up with an update of Genshin Impact version 2.6. Players can unlock this quest only after completing the Chasm Spelunkers world quest. They need to collect one strange rock to start Paleontological Investigation in Genshin Impact and require five to finish. Travelers only need to know each location and take five pictures to complete Paleontological Investigation.
Players will see yellow light at specific points in the underground section of The Chasm. There should be an option “Photo” on the page and this option will not be available during combat. How to complete Paleontological Investigation in the Chasm World Quest in Genshin Impact

Players need to teleport to Ad-Hoc Main Tunnel east waypoint and glide south. Interact with the glowing light to enter the camera mode and ensure that the camera has been adjusted to the correct angle before taking the picture.

Teleport to Main Mining Area north waypoint and head northwest. Players now need to interact with the glowing light to enter the camera mode and make sure to adjust the camera to the correct angle before taking the picture.

Players have to teleport to the Underground Waterway southwest waypoint and head northwest. Go to the waterfall and use the Spoutrock on the left to go higher. Use anemo attacks on the Anemo totem to activate the wind current. Glide up, and players will find a luxurious chest there.
Turn 180 degrees, and players see a glowing light and now interact with the glowing light to enter the camera mode. Make sure that the camera has been adjusted to the correct angle before taking the picture.

Talk to Khedive
Players need to teleport to the Glowing Narrows waypoint and talk to Khedive. Select the option “About the strange rock we found….” Talk to Khedive again to submit all the five pictures taken earlier. After giving the fossil pictures to Khedive, the quest will be completed.
