Takimeguri Kanka In this state, Kamisato Ayato uses his Shunsuiken to engage in blindingly fast attacks, causing DMG from his Normal Attacks to be converted into AoE Hydro DMG. This cannot be overridden. It also has the following properties, the first of which being that after a Shunsuiken attack hits an opponent, it will grant Ayato the Namisen effect, increasing the DMG dealt by Shunsuiken based on Ayato’s current Max HP. The initial maximum number of Namisen stacks is 4, and 1 stack can be gained through Shunsuiken every 0.1s. This effect will be dispelled when Takimeguri Kanka ends. Kamisato Ayato’s resistance to the interruption is increased. Unable to use Charged or Plunging Attacks, Takimeguri Kanka will be cleared when Ayato leaves the field. Special Dish
Quiet Elegance
In-game Description: Kamisato Ayato’s specialty.
The arrangement is exquisite and elegant, much like the manner in which Ayato handles all his affairs. Any more, and it would have been excessive. Any less, and it would have proved a sight squandered. As one may sample the dish, players may find its flavor identical to that of Uyuu Restaurant’s, which is amazing. As they may reach the chopsticks for that crystalline camellia, Ayato stops, saying “That was something I made during sword practice. It’s just a decoration.”
Food Effect: It increases all party members’ Shield Strength by 35% for 300 s.
Kamisato Ayato: Passive Talents
In this Genshin Impact Kamisato Ayato guide, we will look at the passive talents of the character.
- Kamisato Art: Daily Cooking: When Ayato cooks a dish perfectly, he has an 18% chance to receive an additional “Suspicious” dish of the same type.

- When the water illusion explodes, Ayato will gain a Namisen effect equal to the maximum number of stacks possible.
Kamisato Art: Michiyuku Hagetsu: If Kamisato Ayato is not on the field and his Energy is less than 40, he will regenerate 2 Energy for himself every second.
Talents Leveling priority

Best Artifacts Build for Kamisato Ayato in Genshin Impact:
Main DPS / Sub DPS Build
In the Genshin Impact Kamisato Ayato guide, we will provide details for all the artifact build sets for Kamisato Ayato in the game.
Kamisato Ayato is a powerful DPS character that can either be played as a Main DPS or a Sub DPS or even both, with a few tweaks here and there. Like most DPS-focused characters, he will have ATK% Sands, Hydro DMG Bonus Goblet, and a Crit Rate / Damage Circlet. To complement his powerful attacks, Ayato can be equipped with a myriad of powerful artifact sets that can boost his damage even further.
Ideally, his bis artifact is the Echoes of an Offering, this artifact is a newly released set that can boost Normal attacks of characters equipping them and Normal Attacks are the main source of Damage for Ayato. However, there are other options that are only slightly behind the Echoes of an Offering set, and even the Hybrid artifact composition of various 2-pc artifact sets.
Echoes of an Offering
- Set Bonuses
- 2-Piece Bonus: ATK + 18%.
- 4-Piece Bonus: When Normal Attacks hit opponents, there is a 36% chance that it will trigger Valley Rite, which will increase Normal Attack DMG by 70% of ATK.
- This effect will be dispelled at 0.05 s after a Normal Attack deals DMG.
- If a Normal Attack fails to trigger Valley Rite, the odds of it triggering the next time will increase by 20%. This trigger can occur once every 0.2 s.
Echoes of an Offering is a powerful artifact set that can boost a character’s Normal Attacks to a huge extent. This artifact also doesn’t restrict other types of buffs to reach the upper ceiling, since the bonus increases damage, based on a percentage of ATK%. This artifact set has higher damage potential than other alternatives, but there is a slight RNG in the proc of the bonus. It might cause some inconsistency in the damage. Overall, it is the best artifact for Ayato.
Heart of Depth
- Set Bonuses
- 2-Piece Bonus: Hydro DMG Bonus +15%
- 4-Piece Bonus: After using an Elemental Skill, it increases Normal Attack and Charged Attack DMG by 30% for 15 s.
Heart of Depth is a strong alternative to Echoes of an Offering, not only the bonus. It provides has a huge duration, but there is no RNG involved to proc the effect. Heart of Depth is good for a lot of Hydro users, because of its 4pc bonus. If players don’t want to farm Echoes of an Offering, then this artifact will work just fine, as it is only slightly behind Echoes of an Offering, in terms of damage potential.
The domain where this artifact is available is also resin efficient since the other obtainable artifact is Blizzard Strayer, and players that have been playing the game for a long time should already have a good 4pc Heart of Depth in their inventory.
Gladiator’s Finale
- Set Bonuses
- 2-Piece Bonus: ATK +18%
- 4-Piece Bonus: If the wielder of this artifact set uses a Sword, Claymore or Polearm, increases their Normal Attack DMG by 35%.
It is pretty much self-explanatory why Gladiator’s Finale is a good artifact for Ayato. It is a 4pc bonus, which increases Normal Attack DMG, which sounds perfect, but there are a few issues. In terms of damage potential, this artifact is very close to Heart of Depth and works with a lot of weapons, but this artifact set is not farmable from any domain and can only be obtained from bosses, quest rewards, and chests.
For a mid-game player, if players don’t already have a viable set to use. They should not bother with it and start farming for either Heart of Depth, Echoes of an Offering, or a hybrid 2pc set. For a late end-game player, this set makes sense, if players don’t wish to farm the other options, because as of now, the inventory should have a few godly pieces of this artifact. Overall, it is a good artifact for Ayato.
Blizzard Strayer
- Set Bonuses
- 2-Piece Bonus: Cryo DMG Bonus +15%
- 4-Piece Bonus: When a character attacks an opponent affected by Cryo, their CRIT Rate is increased by 20%. If the opponent is Frozen, the CRIT Rate is increased by an additional 20%.
Blizzard Strayer is a godly artifact set for characters in Cryo elemental characters. Its 4pc bonus that can heavily boost crit is somewhat broken in certain team compositions and even non-cryo characters can abuse the effect in teams focusing on freeze. The 2pc bonus of Cryo damage is useless for Ayato, however with a crit damage weapon, this artifact set can help Ayato dish out a lot of damage, but to be on the safe side of things it’s better to go with Heart of Depth, Gladiator’s Finale or Echoes of an Offering as they are more universal and won’t restrict Ayato to a freeze comp alone.
Hybrid Artifact sets
Aside from the 4pc artifact sets, players can also try for hybrid sets of 2pc, as they are much easier to farm and usually have better substats than that of 4pc sets. For Ayato, there are simply a lot of options, the main one being 2pc Heart of Depth + 2pc Gladiator’s Finale / Echoes of an Offering or even Shimenawa’s Reminiscence. This Hybrid set is not very far behind the 4pc sets. If players can manage to get godly 2pc sets, they can use those.
Artifact Damage Potential Ranking
With a very invested min-maxing, Ayato’s artifacts can be ranked in this order:
Echoes of an Offering = Heart of Depth > Gladiator’s Finale = 2pc Heart of Depth + 2pc Gladiator’s Finale / Echoes of an Offering / Shimenawa’s Reminiscence
Artifact Stats Priority for Main DPS role
In order to bring the damage potential to the maximum for any character, min-maxing will always have the utmost importance. Kamisato Ayato mainly uses his Elemental Skill to deal damage which simplifies what sub-stat should be prioritized. Aside from the general DPS stat, players should aim to clear the ER% threshold first, because, in optimal rotations, his burst is quite important.
Once ER% is not an issue, players can then focus on boosting CR/CD/ATK% as required. Kamisato Ayato has high base stats. So overall, ATK% should be high but try to get some more from artifacts sub stats. Flower and Plume are always easier to farm so aim to procure those that have godly crit ratios.
Desired Substats: CR% AND CD% > ATK% = ER%
Artifact Type | Main Stat | Sub Stat Priority |
---|---|---|
Flower | HP | CR%/CD% >ATK%=ER% |
Plume | ATK | CR%/CD% >ATK%=ER% |
Sands | ATK% | CR%/CD% >ATK%=ER% |
Goblet | Hydro DMG Bonus% | CR%/CD% >ATK%=ER% |
Circlet | CR / CD% | CR%/CD% >ATK%=ER% |
ER% requirements for Kamisato Ayato
Kamisato Ayato’s Main source of damage comes from his Elemental Skill, which infuses his Normal Attacks with Hydro and is not dependent on the burst for the mamfe, but it is relatively quite powerful and should be a part of the rotation. The ER% threshold depends on what team comp Ayato is used in but to be on the safe side of things, aim for at least 150%+. His Best in slot weapons won’t have Energy Recharge as a sub-stat so all the ER% has to be acquired from artifacts substat, so farm and level up artifacts accordingly.
Best Weapons for Kamisato Ayato in Genshin Impact
Haran Geppaku Futsu is the signature weapon for Ayato and is one of the best weapons for him, alongside the Jade Cutter and Mistsplitter Reforged.
Haran Geppaku Futsu is a tailor-made sword for Ayato. Therefore, it certainly has a slight edge, when it is used by Ayato, over the other weapons. However, both these weapons aside from the Jade Cutter are dependent on situational stacks, which is very important, and also on what artifact set is equipped on Ayato. All these factors make the ranking quite difficult, but their power levels are quite close.
If players own anything among Jade Cutter or Mistsplitter Reforged, there is no need to get the signature weapon, as the damage output is very similar. Weapons like Skyward Sword and Summit Shaper are also not bad choices, as they should usually perform better than that four-star weapons.
It is to be noted that Weapon rankings should only be taken as a reference, as damage numbers can skew depending on multiple factors, team comps, characters, artifacts, and rotations. Therefore, they must test their own characters to see what’s the best weapon for them. In this Genshin Impact Kamisato Ayato guide, we will look at the best weapons for Kamisato Ayato in Genshin Impact.

CRIT Rate increased by 4%. Gains Skypiercing Might upon using Elemental Burst: Increases Movement SPD by 10%, increases ATK SPD by 10%, and Normal and Charged hits deal additional DMG equal to 20% of ATK. Skypiercing Might lasts for 12s
Among the four-star Swords Lion’s Roar, Black Sword, Blackcliff Longsword are very solid choices, their power levels are quite similar, but Lion’s Roar takes the edge for Electro Charged teams because of its powerful passive, but building crit stats for Ayato will become a much more difficult task as the weapon does not provide any. Black Sword and Blackcliff Sword provide crit stats on the cost of slightly lower damage output. Another viable option is Amenoma Kageuchi which is a somewhat free-to-play friendly craftable weapon.
Weapon Ranking for Four Star Weapons
Lion’s Roar > Black Sword = Blackcliff Longsword > Amenoma Kageuchi
Black Sword

Best Characters to pair with Kamisato Ayato
Kamisato Ayato had his debut banner very recently and team comps will require heavy testing before they can be ranked. But, there are some powerful teams that players can utilize. Ayato, being a Hydro DPS, can adjust in various team comps and roles. Initial testing does suggest that he will be very good in Electrocharged teams and obviously the freeze teams.
As of now, Ayato can technically work in a National team replacing Xingqiu, but where the team will get placed in the meta is tough to say, as Abyss is gradually becoming more difficult as time goes on. In this Genshin Impact Kamisato Ayato guide, we will look at the best characters to pair with Ayato.
Electro Teams for Ayato
Ayato + Fischl + Kazuha + Bennett
This team may have one of the highest damage potentials among the other electrocharged teams and should be quite powerful. Fischl provides a steady source of Electro aura and has low or close to no downtime at all. Kazuha and Bennett duo play as the buffer for Hydro damage. Variations for this team have existed with other characters. Now, Ayato has also taken a place.
Ayato Hyper Carry: Ayato + Yunjin + Kazuha + Bennett
Ayato’s Personal Hyper Carry team will consist of the usual buffers but with Yun Jin as she can boost normal attacks of allies by a considerable margin. This team will allow you to see big damage numbers from Ayato but without a dedicated battery, you might face problems in keeping up Yunjin burst, which provides the damage buff.
Taser Variation: Ayato Taser Variation
Ayato + Fischl + Sucrose + Beidou
For Electrocharged reaction teams, the most common characters are always Fischl and Beidou because of their good synergy. In this team Ayato will mostly be used as a Sub-DPS and Sucrose will work as the driver and proc Beidou’s Elemental Burst whereas Fischl can battery for the team. Sucrose will also provide elemental dmg shred for increased damage output and Ayato will occasionally take the field and use his Elemental Skill, Ayato can also work as the driver for the team once Sucrose Elemental Burst is up. Overall quite a solid team.
Freeze Teams
For Freeze teams, they can be replaced Xingqiu and Mona in a lot of variations of Morgana and Perma-freeze teams. It should be used as a Sub-DPS to provide constant Hydro Application.
One popular team can be with Kamisato Ayaka who is also his Little Sister, both Ayaka and Ayato can take a reasonable amount of field time to deal with damage. Venti as usual provides godly crowd control along with elemental shred and Diona fills the role of healer for the team and cryo battery for Ayaka.
Ayato + Ayaka + Venti + Diona
Additionally, Ayato can also be paired with Ganyu for alternative freeze teams.
