The seventh element in the world of Teyvat got introduced with version 3.0 of Genshin Impact releasing the new Dendro element. In this article, we will discuss the dendro element, its reactions, and resonance in Genshin Impact. Before we start keep in mind that the 7th element dendro does not react with Anemo, Geo, and Cryo elements. This should be considered good as most of the time these elements won’t mess up with the Dendro reactions triggered by a player
Different types of Dendro reactions in Genshin Impact
Dendro mainly has three main reactions which are further divided into their sub-reactions:
1. Burning
This reaction already existed before version 3.0. When Dendro meets Pyro it triggers Burning, which deals with continuous ticks of Pyro DMG for about 8s. The DMG depends on the EM mount of the character, who triggers the reaction.
2. Bloom
This reaction is triggered when hydro meets dendro, Bloom will spawn little seeds-like structures called dendro cores on the place where the reaction got triggered.
The seed will blow up on its own after leaving it for a few seconds dealing with dendro DMG or they can be further reacted with Pyro or electro, keep in mind that these seeds are self-damaging (about 5% of original DMG) but it may still kill you. Bloom has two more Sub-reactions :
- Hyperbloom: when the dendro core reacts with electro ypeHrbloom occurs, electro will transform Dendro Core into Sprawling Shots that will deal DMG to the opponent
- Burgeon: It triggers when Dendro core seeds react with Pyro, Burgeon, will increase the AoE of Dendro Core
3. Quicken
When Dendro reacts with electro it triggers a Quicken reaction. Quicken is a type of debuff that players can trigger when an enemy is affected by Dendro + Electro. It does not deal damage and for the next 8 seconds. Quicken has two more Sub-reactions :
- Aggravate: It Occurs, when the Quickened opponent is attacked by Electro Element. The reaction increases next Electro Attack DMG.
- Spread: It Occurs, when the Quickened opponent is attacked by Dendro Element. The reaction increases next Dendro Attack DMG.
Dendro Resonance
Having two or more party members with the Dendro element will trigger the dendro resonance (Sprawling Greenery). Elemental mastery of all the party members will be boosted by 50. More EM can be obtained after completing the above criteria.
Conclusion
Despite all the Dendro reactions explained above it is still very early for the Dendro element to hold a place in the meta because for now we only have 3 Dendro characters. For now, all we can do is wait for more Dendro characters to be featured.
