Legends of “kitsunetsuki,” or the manifestation of a kitsune’s might, are common in Inazuma’s folktales. One that particularly captures the imagination is that of the Sky Kitsune, said to cause lightning to fall down upon the foes of the Grand Narukami Shrine.
Summons a lightning strike, dealing AoE Electro DMG. When she uses this skill, Yae Miko will unseal nearby Sesshou Sakura, destroying their outer forms and transforming them into Tenko Thunderbolts that descend from the skies, dealing AoE Electro DMG. Best Artifacts builds for Yae Miko in Genshin Impact

In the Genshin Impact Yae Miko guide, we will provide details for all the artifact build sets for Yae Miko in the game.

Main DPS / Sub DPS Build

Yae Miko will follow the standard Main DPS build which will involve the main focus on Crit Rate, Crit Damage, ATK%, and ER % as required. As of now, there are no 4-piece artifact sets that will fit her perfectly. It is best to use 2 pc artifact sets, i.e. hybrid sets.

There are a lot of possible artifact combinations, mainly 2 pc Gladiator’s Finale paired with 2 pc Thundering Fury, 2 pc Noblesse Oblige/ 2 pc Gladiator’s Finale paired with 2 pc Thundering Fury. Shimenawa’s Reminiscence has the same 2 pc set bonus as Gladiator’s Finale, so that can be used too. If the build has fewer ER%, then 2 pc Emblem of Severed Fate will help with that.

Thundering Fury

Genshin Impact Yae Miko Guide
  • Set Bonuses
  • 2-Piece Bonus: Electro DMG Bonus +15%
  • 4-Piece Bonus: Increases damage caused by Overloaded, Electro-Charged and Superconduct by 40%. Triggering such effects decreases Elemental Skill CD by 1s. Can only occur once every 0.8s.

Gladiator’s Finale

  • Set Bonuses
  • 2-Piece Bonus: ATK +18%
  • 4-Piece Bonus: If the wielder of this artifact set uses a Sword, Claymore or Polearm, increases their Normal Attack DMG by 35%.

Artifact Stats Priority

Min maxing will always have the utmost importance for any character build. Yae Miko is quite tricky to build mainly, because of ER% issues and whichever team comp she will be in. They must first try to clear the ER% requirement or build up as much as they can, then focus on boosting CR/CD% as required.

Yae Miko has high base stats. Therefore, overall ATK% should be high but try to get some more from artifacts sub stats. Flower and Plume are always easier to farm. Therefore, one must try to get some ER% from those Since, she uses Hybrid artifacts there is a lot of room for improvement.

ER% requirement for Yae Miko

Yae Miko’s Burst Skill has a huge energy cost. Her energy particle regeneration from Elemental Skill is not that great. Before officially arriving in the game, it is difficult to estimate the accurate energy requirement for her.

To be on the safe side, aim for 160+ ER%. She might need more than this, even when paired with Raiden Shogun. Her best in slot weapons won’t have Energy Recharge as a sub-stat. Therefore, all the ER% has to be acquired from artifacts substat. So, players must farm and level up artifacts accordingly.

Best weapons for Yae Miko in Genshin Impact

Most of the 5-star catalysts are great for her, especially Kagura’s Verity, Lost Prayer to the Sacred Winds, and Skyward Atlas.

Kagura’s Verity is Yae’s signature weapon, aside from being a very good stat booster for any character. Its passive is tailor-made for Yae, and she can utilize this weapon to her maximum potential. This weapon is very powerful, but it is still a bit weaker than weapons like Staff of Homa or Primordial Jade Cutter. Aside from Yae, no other character can truly activate the passive to full-stack.

Skyward Atlas and Lost Prayer to the Sacred Winds are solid choices as a weapon for Yae. These weapons are very viable in terms of damage and only fall behind Kagura’s Verity by a small margin.

Weapon rankings

Kagura’s Verity R1 > Lost Prayer to the Sacred Winds = Skyward Atlas

A thing to be noted is that all these weapons are very close in terms of damage. Therefore, if one already has any one of them except the signature weapon, it is better to use that weapon, instead of going for the weapon banners.

Among the 4-star catalyst, Widsith is easily the best weapon for her. At R5 refinement with the correct buff, she can even out damage Kagura Verity. But, this weapon suffers from a relatively high downtime on its passive buffs, but if players are using Yae Miko as a quick swap burst DPS, then this weapon is very good for her. Hakushin Ring is another good weapon for her, as it can provide some ally buff and some much-needed ER% from its sub stat. Solar Pearl is a solid choice if players do not have any other weapon to give it to Yae Miko.

Best Characters to Pair with Yae Miko

Yae Miko’s Burst Skill has an energy cost of 90, which is very high along with a long cold down. This makes her a bit tricky to fit in any team comp, as there are not a lot of characters that can provide this huge amount of energy for her. They will also need to be an electro character.

Genshin Impact Raiden Shogun
Image via miHoYo

From the looks of it, Raiden Shogun is her best partner, as Raiden Shogun can provide quicker energy regeneration and in turn, Yae Miko can help her in increasing Resolve Stacks. Yae Miko will be primarily a Burst DPS character, and will only need a battery to keep her burst uptime consistent. She can work perfectly in Taser teams or Electro Hyper Carry teams, like Raiden Hyper Carry team where she can replace Sara for even more damage output potential per rotation.

Yae Miko’s Voice Actor

Yae Miko’s Japanese voice-over will be played by Sakura Ayane, whereas the English voice acting will be done by Ratana.
