Types of maps and modes in Girls’ Frontline Fire Control
So let’s start with how many maps and modes are there in the game, and how they work with each other, and why it matters when you want to play the game. Some are indoor and narrow, while others are open and big for long-range fights.
There are six maps in total. Oh, and I forgot to mention, you cannot choose maps or modes when you start your match Que so get prepared by reading this guide I prepped for you.

There are three game modes currently in game: Team Deathmatch, Escort, and Defend the Guardian (the MOBA-like game mode). And there are two types of maps: Combat Simulation (big-open ended map) and Team Competition (Small tight Corridor map). Each type requires a different type of preferred play style. I will break them down below.
Combat Simulation and Escort game mode tips
Now, this category will focus on the most team-dependent modes out there (there are only two, as escort is also the same as Combat Simulation). You will have to rely on your team to push and support each other to clear a path and get the objective done.
The map has multiple paths, items, and a lot more open and long-range space to conduct fights in between, a good map for snipers, too.

I prefer to use the sniper class here a lot, thanks to the high DPS and long-range fight potential. Always stay with the team and keep an eye out for the map items that keep spawning, and know where enemies and Guardian placements are. The only category of maps where you will fight non-playable characters is this one. You can find secret bosses which needs others players to get buffs for fighting.
Team Competition game mode tips
The most played matches of Girls Frontline Fire Control happen in this mode. The team to score 30 points first wins the game.
There are a total of 4 maps available for this mode. All of them are very close quarters and narrow paths with a focus on the front and less on flanks, so your best friend in this is ofc close range classes. There are very few health packs scattered around the map as well, so try to survive as best as you can.

I prefer to use the SMG class and sometimes the shotgun class to clear the corners, and don’t try to camp or stay in one place. Players can lob AOE attacks, which will only help you die faster, so always be on the move when you get this mode.
Tips to focus when you don’t get your preferred map type
Things get frustrating when you are not getting the map or mode you want to play. Since Combat Simulation is very long and Team Competition is very quick to finish, it will ruin the mood if you don’t get what you want to play.

- Always stick close to the team
- Pick a class that the team is lacking
- Your class determines if you are a support or dps in your team
- Don’t use close-range weapons on long-range maps
- Buy the best tactical loadout that you can when you get a moment
- Use your skills only when there are group of enemies
- Remember to look at the map to know where items and health pickups are
- Retreat when you are getting alone against a group of enemies.
- Rely on your aim more and not on others.
Final Thoughts
Losing and winning are part of life, so don’t be sad or angry when you lose a match. Chin up and move on to the next one, because sometimes the opponent is just having a good day. The game may not be the most polished PvP game out there, but it has its charm, and that’s what makes it unique and enduring.
With this, I bid you good luck on winning those matches and having fun. I will see you on the battlefield.
