From where to source the ingredients for Cooking in Heartopia
To help you plan your day in Heartopia, here is where you should focus your efforts based on what you want to cook.
Store shopping list
These items cannot be grown or found; you’ll need to spend your hard-earned currency here:
- Eggs: The primary binder for all Pies and the Carrot Cake.
- Milk: Necessary for Lattes and the Cheesecake.
- Cheese: Required for savory Smoked Fish Bagels and Cheesecake.
- Coffee: Specifically bought from the Cooking Store for your caffeine needs.
Garden harvest

Your garden is the backbone of your kitchen. Keep these seeds in the ground:
- Wheat: The most vital ingredient for almost all baking (Pies, Cakes, Bagels).
- Potatoes: Specifically for Fish and Chips.
- Tomatoes: The sole ingredient for Tomato Sauce.
- Carrots: Used for House Salads and Carrot Cakes.
- Cocoa: Used to craft Chocolate Sauce.
- Vegetables: General greens for your House Salads.
Foraging and Fishing

Nature provides the rest! Explore the world to find:
- Fish: Any fish you catch can be turned into Fish and Chips or Bagels.
- Mushrooms: Collect specific variants like Shiitake, Oyster, Button, Boletus, and Black Truffles for their unique grilled versions and pies.
- Fruits: Gather Raspberries, Blueberries, Apples, and Mandarins for your jam collection.
With this Heartopia food masterlist, you are now ready to fill your pantry and your recipe book. Most of these dishes are available early on, but remember to keep your eyes peeled for Doris’ Secret Store to unlock the mysterious Roll Cakes.
Best Dishes to make money in Heartopia
I’d recommend selling cooked food or dishes to make money in Heatopia (unless it is a rare catch!). Generally, if you sell raw ingredients, you’re likely to leave 50-70% of the money on the table. So, here are the suggested foods or dishes that you can cook to make quick bucks!
Best foods to sell for making money during the early game (Level 1 – 2)
- Forage Berries while you walk. Turning 4 Berries into Jam triples their value. It’s “free” money because berries cost nothing but a second of your time.
- Grow Tomatoes (the fastest-growing crop) in 15 minutes. Instead of selling them raw, process 4 of them into Tomato Sauce. This not only builds your Cooking and Gardening levels simultaneously but also provides a better profit floor than raw sales.
Best foods to sell for making money during the mid game (Level 3 – 5)
- Transition your garden to Potatoes and pair them with low-value fish. Fish n Chips is the most consistent “sink” for your garden crops, offering a stable price that isn’t dependent on rare forage spawns.
- Visit Massimo’s shop daily and buy out his Coffee Beans and Milk. Brew them into Lattes for a guaranteed 200% profit margin. Since you buy the ingredients, this is “passive” gold that requires no foraging time.
- Corn Soup is probably the best one in the mid-game section. But the main issue is the Corn growing time, which takes 12 hours. Try to grow corn at least once daily, and you’ll be printing money like crazy. This was the one I was using while I was at level 5 cooking.
Best foods to sell for making money during the end game (Level 6 – 13)
- If you want a grind-free cooking, Tiramisu is your best friend! All you do is buy the ingredients from Massimo, cook it, and sell them for a profit! While Tiramisu will not make you a lot of money but definitely a good choice for everyday cooking.
- Now, if you want to increase your profit a little more on Tiramisu, you can go for Afternoon Tea. You need Tiramisu and another fruit to prepare it.
- For a big shot, I’d recommend Grape Jams. It sells for over 2000 gold at one star. But remember that Grapes take 10 hours to be ready in your garden.
