The Version 3.8 update of Honkai: Star Rail releases the newest 5-star character, Dahlia. Dahlia is a Fire character following the Path of Nihility. Dahlia Gameplay
Dahlia is a Fire Remembrance unit. She provides team-wide Break Effect amplification and deals follow-up attack damage, and she allows Break teams to deal damage consistently without waiting for the enemy’s Toughness bar to deplete.
When building her, you’ll want to focus on leveling up her Talent and Ultimate first, then her Skill, and you can skip her basic attack since she doesn’t rely on it.
Skill
After using her skill, she deploys a zone that lasts for 3 turns and increases all allies’ Weakness Break Efficiency by 50%, and enemy targets will also take Super Break Damage even when they are not Weakness Broken. Her skill also deals Fire damage equal to 160% of Dahila’s ATK.
Ultimate
Her Ultimate Inflicts Wilt state on all enemies, which lasts for 4 turns, and then she deals a massive fire damage, which is distributed across all enemies. Those enemies affected by the Wilt state will have their Defence reduced by 18% and will apply Weakness to all Dance Partner types on enemy targets. Her Ultimate not only deals massive fire damage but also increases allies’ damage.
Talent
The most important part of her kit is her talent. When we enter combat, Dahlia will regenerate 35 energy, and she will grant Dance Partner to this unit and the teammate who triggers the combat. When the Dance Partner attacks a broken target, the Toughness reduction becomes Super Break damage.
She launches the follow-up attacks that convert their Toughness reduction into Super Break damage at 200% effectiveness when the Dance Partner attacks. We can trigger this effect once per round, but if the enemy dies before the follow-up attack, then Dahlia will launch her follow-up attack on a random enemy.
Technique
When we use her Technique, she creates a Special Dimension that lasts for 20 seconds. In this Special Dimension, enemies can’t actively attack ally targets. When we enter combat in this Special Dimension, Dahlia immediately deploys her Skill zone.

Firefly makes the best Synergy with Dahlia’s kit, as her passive is designed around Fire-type Break DPS characters, and she will be our main DPS in this team, who can deal massive Fire Break Damage. Fugue provides Break Effect support—Ruan Mei provides team-wide buff. If your account doesn’t have Ruan Mei or Fugue, then you can use Harmony Trailblazer. She provides Super Break enabling and works excellently

Rappa/Boothill, Fugue/Ruan Mei, Dahlia, Lingsha
Rappa and Boothill both make a good synergy with Dahila, too. Both of them benefit significantly from The Dahlia’s Super Break conversion and Defense reduction from her Ultimate. Rappa follows the path of Erudition, so she is better when you are facing multiple enemies, compared to Boothill, because he follows the path of Hunt.
Like the Firefly team, Ruan Mei will provide a team-wide buff in this team, too, and Lingsha will be our sustain in this team.
Is Dahlia worth pulling in Honkai Star Rail
Is she worth pulling? Obviously, she is a must-pull character if you enjoy Break-focused teams. She is a must-have character if you are a Firefly, Rappa, and Boothill main. She doesn’t need her Signature Light Cone for unleashing her maximum potential and can enable Super Break damage before enemies are even broken.
