Lokapala: Saga of the Six Realms is a MOBA developed by Anantarupa Studios, an Indonesian game developer company, and has been gaining popularity recently. Lokapala is currently available for both Android and iOS via Google Play and App Store respectively. Lokapala serves us players with some new game mechanics and in this Beginners Guide, we will discuss them along with some useful tips!
Lokapala draws its inspiration from Indonesian mythology, history, and culture. The characters in this MOBA are referred to as “Ksatriyas,” which means Knights. These Ksatriyas are based on the region’s unsung heroes and figures. Consequently, this Lokapala guide will discuss what players as beginners should understand and take care of. Additionally, if you are just starting, make sure to check our Lokapala Redeem Codes article to grab some freebies along the way!
Gameplay Overview
Similar to other MOBA games, Lokapala requires players to select a character, each with a distinct role and skill set. Players are divided into two teams of five, battling against each other. The objective is to defend one’s turrets while simultaneously attacking the enemy’s, ultimately aiming to destroy the opposing team’s base.
Understanding the in-game Map
The map is important in a game like Lokapala. It helps us understand different objectives and where they are located, as well as where the enemy team is likely to be. The key areas in the map are Lanes, Jungle, and Base.
Base: This is from where the game starts and where the main tower is located. Destroying the enemy’s main tower will win the game.
Just like other MOBA games, Lokapala also has three lanes:
- Top Lane: The top lane is typically for Tanks and Fighters who can fight and sustain in early games, also this lane is the longest.
- Middle Lane: This lane has the most head-to-head mid-range combat as Mage players usually take this lane. It’s crucial for rotating and controlling the map and later the whole game.
- Bottom Lane: This lane is usually taken by Marksmen and sometimes accompanied by a Support character.
The jungle lies between the lanes, housing monsters that yield gold and experience upon defeat. These monsters are neutral and they attack anyone who attacks them. Subsequently, in this game, jungle monsters only provide players with very short-term regen.
Introducing the Lokapala Heroes (Ksatriyas)
Each hero in Lokapala has a unique set of skills and strengths with their unique lore. We categorize these Ksatriyas into roles like Tank, Support, Fighter, Marksman, Assassin, and Mage.
Ksatriyas Roles and Playstyle
- Tank: High on defense and HP compared to other roles. They are built to take damage and initiate fights.
- Fighter: Deals physical damage and can be both tanky and damage-oriented.
- Mage: Deals magical damage with area-of-effect abilities.
- Assassin: High burst damage, excels in eliminating key targets.
- Support: Provides buffs or healing and support to the team.
- Marksman: Deals high physical damage with basic attacks, and excels in late game.
Best Ksatriyas for Beginners in Lokapala
Therefore, I will recommend a few Ksatriyas based on their difficulty, as Beginners in Lokapala who have little to no experience. Start with easy heroes and then advance to more difficult ones. Consequently, these are my recommendations:
1. Haya
Haya or the Ungranted Dreamer is a Fighter Ksatriya. Moreover, his looks will help the player spread fear and terror. The design itself is very intimidating and fierce with great skill sets and a passive to assert dominance.
2. Tarja
Tarja or “Rani Of Wilwatikta” is a Mage Ksatriya, the design is elegant with great medium to long-range skills and a passive that will help to weaken the targeted enemy.
3. Ilya
Ilya or “The Weapon Of The Divine” is a Tank Ksatriya, a tough little girl with incredible strength. Her kit designs her as a frontline powerhouse who can absorb damage and shatter enemy formations. Her skills are the perfect blend of crowd control and Damage with a passive to stun enemies.
4. Sena
Sena or “The Human Who Flourished” is a Maskman Ksatriya, She is the best choice for those who don’t want to close distance and deal high damage. Her skills are long-ranged and it is a great advantage for us players.
5. Sabara
Sabara or “Soul Keeper” is an Assassin Ksatriya, known for his high burst damage and mobility. A great choice who want to eliminate their opponents swiftly. With his skills, he deals great damage and moves swiftly, while additionally making the opponent even weaker.

When the match duration reaches the 25-minute mark. The turrets self-destruct, and the main turret summons a Mega Ancient to join the team.
