NTE: Neverness to Everness Elements Guide: Character Element Types, Elemental Reactions and More

Master elements in Neverness to Everness!

Story Highlights
  • Complete Neverness to Everness elements guide featuring character types, and elemental reactions.
  • Discover how to trigger elemental reactions in NTE.

Neverness to Everness (NTE) is an urban open-world RPG developed by Hotta Studio and published by Perfect World Games. The game has many different character categories with different elements. In this Neverness to Everness elements guide, we will learn about all characters’ element types and their reactions.

Esper Cycle Mechanism in NTE

NTE elemental reactions depend on a mechanism called the Esper Cycle. So we have to know about the Esper Cycle uses and mechanisms. Every NTE character has an Esper Cycle Meter. To trigger any elemental reactions, you have to use the Esper ability of two characters who have different elements.

Esper Cycle Meter numbers represent the Esper charging speed of each character, like the Mint character has an 18 Cycle Rate on her basic attack.

To use this ability, you need 100 Cycle points. We can fill this meter in three ways: by basic attacking, using a skill, or successfully parrying an attack. Mint can use it after using 6 basic attacks. Zero can fill his Cycle meter after using his skill once because he has a 100 Cycle rate on her skill.

Once the Esper Cycle Meter fills, characters in our team glow, signalling that they are ready to be swapped in to trigger a powerful Esper Cycle reaction.

NTE: Neverness to Everness Elements Guide: Characters Elemental Types

Neverness to Everness features 6 elements in-game. When different elements on the Esper Cycle are combined, they trigger many types of reactions. Each provides an advantage during combat. Here are all of the elements’ names and the characters’ names who use those elements:

In this section, we will discuss all the elemental reaction names and what those reactions do.

Reactions NameElements InvolvedReactions Explanation
Remora (Debuff)Cosmos + LakshanaThe target enters Remora for 5s after triggering Esper Cycle. It’s slowed their movement and attack speed.

The effect decays over time, and if we use it repeatedly, its duration is reduced.
Blossom (Aoe Damage)Cosmos + AnimaGenerates 1 Lebenstamm near the target, which blossoms 5 Lebenblume. Up to 3 Lebenstamms can stay on the field at once.

Lebenblume then flies towards enemies and explodes every 2 seconds, dealing AoE damage.
Charge (Buff)Cosmos + Lakshana + AnimaActive characters gain 10 Ultimate Energy when Lebensblumes hit targets effected by Remora.
Hexed (Follow-up attack)Anima + Incantation Deals an additional instance of follow-up attack DMG to the target equal to 20% DMG of both elements.

But this effect triggers every 12 seconds after the Esper Cycle is triggered.
Scorch (Damage over Time)Chaos + IncantationDeals additional Cosmos and Incantation damage for 15 seconds after triggering Esper Cycle.
Nova (Mental Damage)Chaos + PsychInflicts Nova for 5seconds after triggering Esper Cycle. When the effect ends, the target takes massive Mental Damage.
Discord (Debuff)Chaos + Psych + Incantation Deducts a percentage of the target’s Break when they are simultaneously affected by Nova and Scorch.
Stain (Buff)Psyche + LakshanaEnemies takes 20% extra Psyche and Lakshana DMG for 12 seconds.

At this moment, these are all elemental reactions we can do in Neverness to Everness.

Final Thoughts

Neverness to Everness becomes more interesting with its elemental reactions. For the best result, you should try to build your teams with two or three different elements. That makes the reaction smoother.
