The upcoming event in Pokemon Go, An Instinctive Hero, will run from May 2nd to May 8th, 2023, featuring a new Pokémon debut, a shiny version, and various bonuses. It follows Sustainability Week and is focused on a Special Research story that involves assisting Spark, the leader of Team Instinct. This event comes after the A Mystic Hero event in April, which centered on Team Mystic leader Blanche. All trainers can participate in the research, and those who complete all the steps will receive an Electric-type Elekid with a Spark-themed accessory.
Pokemon Go An Instinctive Hero Event: Pokemon Debuts
Larvesta, the Torch Pokemon, and Volcarona, the Sun Pokemon, will make their Pokemon GO debuts! Starting with this event, Larvesta will be available to hatch from 2 km, 5 km, and 10 km eggs. They are the first, Bug and Fire-type Pokemon in the game. It will take 400 candies to evolve Larvesta into Volcarona. The Max Combat Power for Volcarona is 4106, it will most probably also have a great move pool.
Eggs
Larvesta will be hatching from 2 km, 5 km, and 10 km eggs. Pokemon hatching from the 2 km, 5 km, and 10 km eggs will have an increased chance of being shiny. The following Pokemon will hatch from 7 km eggs:
- Mime Jr.
- Happiny
- Mantyke
- Timburr
- Karrablast
- Axew
- Shelmet
- Goomy
Field Research
The following Pokemon will be available as rewards, from field research tasks during the event:
- Magneton
- Chansey
- Electrabuzz
- Magmar
- Snorlax
- Mantine
- Chimecho
Special Research
Special research for this event will be unlocked. The final reward will be an encounter with an Elekid, wearing Team Leader Sparky Themed accessory. This will be the only chance to encounter this special Elekid. Also, if the player is lucky, they might encounter a shiny one. The special research will be available till the end of the season on June 1st, 2023, at 10:00 A.M. local time.
