Avalugg is a Tier 3 Raid Boss in Pokémon Go. It is a huge Pokémon that is covered in semi-transparent ice. Its head is made up of diamond-shaped eyes through which its yellow eyes are visible. In place of ears, it has diamond-shaped ice chunks hanging from his head along with a dark chin chink in the ice which is right above its eyes. Avalugg is a decent opponent who can be taken care of using the right counters without much trouble. So in this Pokémon Go guide, we will talk about the best ways and counters that you can use to defeat Avalugg in the best way possible.
Avalugg in Pokémon Go
Avalugg is a pure-type Ice Pokémon with a maximum CP of 3615 at level 50. It is weak towards Fighting, Fire, Steel, and Rock-type attacks and can only resist Ice-type counters, which means you shouldn’t use that type of Pokémon against it. If you are a high-level player with the best counters, you can defeat Avalugg all by yourself. But if you are inexperienced or don’t have the ideal counters, I recommend you bring a friend or two along with you.
Avalugg Moveset

The best moves from the movepool of Avalugg are Ice Fang and Avalanche. Both of them have a combined DPS of 49.6. It is also the best combination of moves that you can use in both Pokémon Gyms and PvP battles. Other attacks that I’ve found to be useful from the movepool of Avalugg are Bite, Earthquake, Icy Wind, and Body Slam amongst other good options.
