Pokémon Go Guide: Tips to catch Salandit

Here's what you need to do to catch Salandit in Pokémon Go!

Pokémon Go introduces new and rare Pokémon to the roster through events. As a part of the ongoing All-Hands Rocket Retreat Event, Salandit made its debut in Pokémon Go. Now users are actively working to catch Salandit before it gets out of hand. Users can indeed catch many Pokémon in a single session, but when it comes to rare Pokémon like Salandit, it becomes a little tricky. Salandit is a rare Pokémon, so catching this rare Pokémon will not be easy for users. But there is a way around for users to catch Salandit and add it to their Pokedex.

How to catch Salandit in Pokémon Go

The only way Salandit can be caught is by hatching 12km eggs. These eggs can be obtained by defeating one of the Team Go Rocket Leaders: Cliff, Sierra, or Arlo. The fight with the team rocket leaders will not be an easy one. Nonetheless, users have to defeat the six Team Rocket Grunts and build a Rocket Radar to find the Team Rocket leaders.

Although this is the only way to catch Salandit as of now, even this cannot guarantee Salandit for users. Ten other potential Pokemon can hatch from 12km Eggs, including Absol, Larvitar, and Skorupi. This means that the users will have to hatch as many 12km eggs as possible until they get a Salandit.

It is another tedious task for users who wish to evolve Salandit into Salazzle. Obtaining a Salandit is very difficult, and to evolve it into a Salazzle, users will need a female Salandit as a male Salandit cannot evolve. On top of all this, users will need 50 candy to evolve a Salandit into a Salazzle.

Can Salandit be shiny in Pokemon GO

Shiny Pokémon are very rare in the game. Obtaining them can be possible by completing research tasks in an event as they give users a shot at encountering a Shiny Pokémon. As of now, the Shiny version of Salandit is not available in Pokémon Go. But a shiny version of Salandit may be added to the game in future events or updates.
