1. Ansu Fati (Barcelona)
Injuries have certainly not helped Ansu Fati, who was thought to be the next breakout talent 3 years ago. Well, he’s back now and has already started to pick up goals and assists for Barcelona. His speed coupled with deadly ball-striking makes him a lethal asset to an attack. The 19-year-old still has a huge career ahead of him, and there is so much time left before he reaches his top potential.
2. Bukayo Saka (Arsenal)
In the 2020 Euros Final, a young Bukayo Saka stepped up to take the decisive penalty. Many thought this would kill the confidence of a bright youngster, but he returned with the best season of his lifetime. He totaled 18 goals and assists in the Premier League and recently won England’s Player of the Year award too. Still only 21 years old, Saka offers skill, creativity, and versatility, which makes him one of the players to watch in the future of your SM23 save.
3. Yeremy Pino (Villareal)
Yeremy Pino was linked with a move elsewhere last Summer but this year he will stay in Spain with Villareal. Of course, there is a reason behind the hype, Pino netted 6 goals and assisted another 4 last season in La Liga. The Spaniard is especially praised for his electric pace and control over the ball but he has also proven to have an eye for a killer pass.
4. Rodrygo (Real Madrid)
Rodrygo‘s off-the-bench brace last year in the UCL semi-final was a moment he will remember for the rest of his life. Still only 21 years old, Rodrygo is showing signs of being a future world-class winger and Real Madrid is lucky to have him. He has great attacking movement, and a deadly finishing touch too. Although quite pricy, there’s no doubt he’ll be a player for the future in SM23.
5. Gabriel Martinelli (Arsenal)
Scouted from the Brazilian lower league side, Ituano FC, few people expected Gabriel Martinelli to turn out this well. Last season he scored 6 and assisted 6 in the Premier League and has proven to be one of Arsenal‘s most precious gems. His technical ability coupled with a hungry and determined mindset makes him a potential star for the future.
6. Charles De Ketelaere (AC Milan)
De Ketelaere made the move to Italian giants AC Milan last Summer, for just under £30 million. His creative movement and impressive close control are what justified that price tag, and the Belgian is definitely one to watch for the future. He has only recently joined a new club though, so it won’t be possible to sign him in SM23 until later transfer windows.
7. Karim Adeyemi (Borussia Dortmund)
RB Salzburg‘s youth prospect, Karim Adeyemi, made the move to Borussia Dortmund last Summer. The 20-year-old is well known for his rapid speed, allowing him to run in behind and through on goal. Since he has recently joined a new club, it will not be possible to sign him in the first window. Certainly, though, he was one to watch for the future.
8. Bryan Gil (Tottenham Hotspur)
Tottenham sighed Spanish youngster, Bryan Gil, over a year ago for a price of £20 million. His technical quality and creativity make him a useful attacker to have on the pitch, but it is his hard-working mentality that stands out. Gil can play a variety of positions and is still young at just 21 years old.
9. Myron Boadu (AS Monaco)
Although not as well-known as some other players on this list, Boadu is still a very good youngster to sign in SM23. With a good base overall rating, Boadu offers strength and goal-scoring ability to spearhead the team’s attack. At only 20 years old, he still has a lot to improve on, and he shouldn’t be as costly either.
10. Arnaud Kalimuendo (Stade Rennes FC)
Kalimuendo is a PSG youth product, now leading the line for French side Stade Rennes. His 12-goal tally from last season could be a sign of what’s to come in the future from the 20-year-old. Kalimuendo roams around the opposition box and has the ability to consistently do exactly what’s needed of a striker – put the ball in the net.
