As the end of the Tower of Fantasy Version 2.5 is nearing, one of the last notable events in this update is the Calling Melody Event, which is a combat-heavy event focused on defeating the ongoing enemies and dealing as much damage as possible using 3 sets of randomized weapons without any matrices, equipment or other factors involved.

“Calling Melody” involves a challenging enemy encounter in a team of four players. To participate, players can either enter matchmaking on their own or as a pre-formed team with their friends and allies. During the event, the game will provide weapons for the players, so there’s no need to worry about configuring or selecting weapons or Relics beforehand. This means that everyone will have access to an appropriate gear for the challenge.
1. Once you’re in the battle, you can activate Calling Melody by using the discharge skills of the provided weapons. You need to follow the specific order that is displayed above the enemy’s HP bar. When you successfully activate Calling Melody, it will cause a lot of damage to the enemy and increase your Calling Melody combo count. The higher your combo level, the more damage you will inflict on the enemy. So, it’s important to keep building up your combo for more powerful attacks.
2. When you switch weapons during the event, the current weapon you were using will be taken away and replaced with a new weapon. The game will provide you with different weapons as you progress. On the right side of the screen, you will see the star ratings of the next two upcoming weapons. This gives you an idea of the quality or rarity of the weapons you’ll be receiving shortly.
3. During the battle, you will come across ball-shaped buffs in three different colors that will appear at regular intervals. These buffs can be used strategically to enhance the efficiency of Calling Melody.

At the end of each round in the event, the rewards you receive will be determined by two factors: the number of activated Calling Melody combos and the amount of damage you have dealt to the enemy. The more Calling Melody combos you have successfully activated throughout the round, the better your rewards will be. This encourages you to focus on efficiently triggering Calling Melody and building up high combo levels to maximize your rewards.
5. Additionally, the rewards you receive will also be influenced by the amount of damage you have inflicted on the enemy. Dealing more damage will contribute to better rewards, so it’s important to put forth your best effort in damaging the enemy during the round. By actively participating in Calling Melody, triggering combos, and dealing significant damage, you can increase your chances of earning greater rewards in the event.
Battle Tips and Tricks
- To increase your chances of successfully triggering Calling Melody, it’s possible to replace weapons that do not meet the current requirements by quickly switching them. This allows you to maintain the correct weapon sequence and improve your success rate in activating Calling Melody.
- Another way to enhance the triggering of Calling Melody is by utilizing Phantasia, which grants you an instant discharge ability. By triggering Phantasia, you have a chance to immediately use the weapon discharge, which aids in activating Calling Melody more effectively.
- For PC players, there is an option to open button tips. This feature helps prevent pressing the wrong buttons when switching weapons, reducing the risk of mistakes during gameplay.
- It’s crucial to use the correct weapon discharge skill while dealing damage because if any discharges are used without following the corresponding icons, the progress will be reset. This means that if you use the wrong weapon discharge, you will need to start over. It’s important to familiarize yourself with the meaning of each icon and avoid making mistakes when utilizing the weapon’s discharge skill.
- By being attentive to the icons, using the correct weapons, and avoiding errors in executing discharge skills, you can increase your chances of triggering Calling Melody successfully and achieve better results in the event.
Tower of Fantasy version 2.5 – Calling Melody: Event Rewards
Wanderers have to trigger Calling Melody at least 1 time to get a reward. The reward is affected by the number of times Calling Melody is triggered and the damage ranking. After completing the challenges, Wanderers will have the opportunity to redeem their rewards in the Store where participants can exchange their earned points, energy, or other achievements for various rewards. After completing the challenges, players will obtain Event exclusive currency called Skill Commendation. You can exchange these Skill Commendations and obtain various rewards. Be sure to note that players can only obtain 800 Skill Commendation maximum per run.
