1. Benjamin Pavard vs Hungary (Defender) – 6 million
France is definitely a team to target for this matchday, both in attack and defense. They have a clean sheet probability of 55%, the second-highest of all teams in this Matchday. Any of the defenders are worth jumping on, but one stands out as a differential. Benjamin Pavard plays on the right side of a back 5 and likes to push forward in an attack.
The 3 defenders behind should mean he is given the all-clear to do so too. Of course, a clean sheet looks very possible at the moment, but you could expect Pavard to get some more points through assists and possibly even goals. 2. Antoine Griezmann vs Hungary (Forward) – 11 million
France has the ideal fixture in Matchday 2, as they face Hungary. Despite them being the underdog in the Group of Death, France is still odds in for the win. The strikers are expected to have a field day in attack, and so a lot of players will be trying to get Mbappe into their Fantasy squads.
An underlying differential is Girezmann, who was the lead creator of France in the qualifying stages. He secured 1 goal and assisted 5 for his teammates, in addition, he scored an extra 2 in the pre-Euro friendlies. He is quite a cost differential for 11 million and has surprise ownership of just 5%. If you’re looking to get some France assets into your squad during these group stages, now is the best time.
3. Ruslan Malinovskyi vs North Macedonia (Midfielder) – 7 million
Ukraine put up a very good fight against the heavily predicted winners of their group, Holland. They are a team with a strong spirit, but also with good quality too. Malinovskyi was one of the Ukraine shirts that made a return in the game against Holland, as he assisted one of the 2 goals scored. Along with that, Malinovskyi won the Golden Playmaker award in Serie A with 12 assists.
He also helped Ukraine to the top of their Euro Qualifying group with 3 goals and 3 assists in 6 games. It’s quite surprising how Malinovskyi only holds ownership of just 2%. Ukraine faces North Macedonia in Matchday 2 – arguably as easy as it gets for Ukraine on the group stage. 4. Andriy Yarmolenko vs North Macedonia (Midfielder) – 8.5 million
Another good promising Ukraine asset, is their winger, Yarmolenko. He’s a fringe player for West Ham but he’s key in the Ukrainian national team. Just last matchday against Holland, he scored once and assisted another, making direct contributions to both of Ukraine’s goals. He also netted 2 more in the 2 pre-Euro friendlies Ukraine played in.
We’ve already talked about the opponents, North Macedonia. The odds are heavily in Ukraine’s favor and although Yarmolenko is quite expensive at 8.5 million, he still has the potential to return points.
5. Aleksander Isak vs Slovakia (Forward) – 8 million
Sweden managed to successfully hold up Spain in a 0-0 draw for their first game. Although they didn’t manage to score, they did show glimpses, one of the key drivers being 21-year-old Aleksandr Isak. During the Qualifying rounds, Isak netted 3 goals, despite starting just 3 of the 8 games.
Sweden faces Slovakia in Matchday 2, a team that conceded 17 attempts against Poland in Matchday 1. The average being 11.1 shows that there may have been some defensive struggle in the Slovakia team. Isak will be hoping to add to his international tally in this Euros campaign, and is priced at 8 million, it is a risky punt, but can prove useful to your league ranks.
