How to help India amid the ongoing Covid-19 crisis: 10 places you can donate

Taking the right step towards humanity

With more than 3,00,000 positive cases each day since April 2021, India is struggling with excruciating pain during the second wave of this Covid-19 pandemic. With the emergence of multiple variants across the country, and the shortage of vaccines, essential medicines, and oxygen, the hospitals are inundated and crematoriums are full. With the share of rural India in new cases increasing to 48.5% in May compared with 36.8% in March, it’s crucial to help India amid the ongoing Covid crisis. Last year, the rural parts of India were relatively less affected, but multiple media reports and other sources confirm the widespread infection in rural India this time.

Importantly, almost 65% of the population residing in the countryside having little, or no access, to qualified doctors and other resources, the challenge this time is substantial. Thanks to multiple non-profit organizations (NGOs/ CSOs/ volunteer groups) working in the cities and hinterlands, helping people in arranging food, oxygen, medicines, hospital beds, etc., and more importantly lending a helping hand in this hour of critical need. But, they can’t do all this alone as they require your help and support.

So, here we will be discussing how can you help India amid the ongoing Covid-19 crisis, beginning with 10 places, where you can donate.
